Job Description:
Dessies Tyres is looking for an experienced and motivated Branch Manager to take responsibility for the day-to-day operation and performance of our Cork branch.

The successful candidate will lead the team, drive sales and customer service, manage operational standards, and ensure the branch consistently delivers high-quality service and strong business results.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage the day-to-day operations of the branch
Lead, motivate and supervise the branch team
Set and achieve sales and performance targets
Deliver excellent customer service and build strong customer relationships
Manage bookings, sales, invoicing and daily workflow
Monitor stock levels, ordering and inventory control
Ensure high standards of tyre fitting, workshop operations and health & safety
Handle customer enquiries, complaints and service issues professionally
Monitor branch performance and identify opportunities for growth
Support recruitment, training and development of staff
Ensure company policies and operational procedures are followed
Report on branch performance and key business metrics to senior management

Requirements:

Previous management or supervisory experience, preferably within the automotive or tyre industry
Strong leadership and team management skills
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Commercial and sales-driven mindset
Good organisational and problem-solving abilities
Ability to work independently and make confident decisions
Strong understanding of automotive/tyre retail operations
Full driving licence preferred
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

- Fitting and repairing tyres (cars, vans, and light commercial vehicles)

We were checking this tyre for damage this morning. on the outer wall theres some scoring to the sidewall and the customer decided to change it. Luckily he chose to do it today. The inside wall was much worse.

Check your tyres for signs of bulges 👀

Bulges are caused by impact, normally a pothole or kerb. When the inner sidewall fractures the air inside is getting between the layers (plies) and is trying to get out. This one is so far along the outer sidewall is ripping and it's only a matter of time before it blows out completely.

Luckily this customer spotted it and had it replaced at our Carrigaline branch before anything worse became of it.

Assistant manager required. Total package over €40k

Experience is essential. Best suited to someone looking to move jobs from one garage to another or someone currently working in a tyre center and looking to step up in responsibility.

We work 5 days Per week. Garage is open Monday to Saturday. No sundays/bank holidays.

Applicants must have a decent knowledge of tyres and the tyre industry. The role will involve dealing directly with customers and assisting in the admin side of running the branch.

Our branch has a high volume output of tyres + alignment but runs very efficiently.
