Tragically last Friday, we lost our co worker and friend Alexander (Sasha) he left his home with his wife and family for a better life and they became a part of our community. He was an extremely nice person, and would always bring homemade food as gifts to the garage, you couldn’t excite him at work even times I had the hot poker behind him,a lesson we all could learn. Thank you Sasha for your friendship and helping me in my tyre shop. Rest easy and your great saying to me when I would say ‘come on come work Sasha’ you would say - ‘yes yes no problem 5 minutes I smoke, then I fix the problem’ he was 100% correct. Connie, Claire and I would like to extend our heartfelt condolences to his wife and children, I would also like to thank the emergency services coast guard ambulance and my own colleagues in the fire brigade it was a difficult call out and I’d like to thank them especially for their support. Hi folks, just a quick snap of times for anyone who’s attending the rally on Saturday, I just like the thank everyone who helped out in any way for this huge event, so much work the last few weeks,hopefully the weather will hold out, I know it’s not for some but hopefully it will be a much needed boost to our local businesses, a big thanks to Kilarney district motor club, Cormac Dermot and Tommy,and team. to our harbour master and staff especially Mike n Tony, to tg in Urhan for helping out with spectators and planning, to the cda for all their help noel n Donal and especially Sandra Regan and Catherine turner and team for all the hard working keeping our town clean and looking great,to Jim sullivan and Beara tourism,to all the businesses in Dinish thanks so much couldn’t have got it through without ye especially Beara oil for their huge contribution,and Donald Healy of Shelfish Ireland,to the people on the stages who have changed their day with their roads being closed so we can run this event is enormous thanks very much,weather reports in middle of stages would be great a quick text to me or pictures, mark R Southgate con Harrington Joe Cronin. Terry haynes.And just one final note,I’d like to wish our local man Kieran o Neil all the very best doing his home rally and his very first event it’s a massive achievement to even start a rally take your time Kieran and enjoy it see u in service n well done, Fiona Kelly thanks very much for all your help as always and if Kieran is a bit nervous you might bring along an injection for him I’ll gladly hold him down 🤣🤣thanks guys busy few days a head enjoy for now

Thanks to all helped out, big thanks to our club especially Cormac and Tommy Randles and councillor Danny Collins and our harbour master Martin, and all the businesses in Dinish island for your letters of in put we say thank u very much. And on the anniversary of our friend and legend Craig Breen, who we miss terribly, his presence was felt very much with us today, as he loved Ardgroom stage so much, we salute you always, so let’s begin our show down and continued success and thanks everyone especially on the stages who let us use them for the day. Just to let anyone that doesn’t know, a few asking, the rally of the lakes is on this weekend in Kilarney heading to castletownbere,Saturday morning they will be arriving in Dinish island at 10 am sharp from the Healy pass and then on to the new pier for service,and then they will be doing two loops of the famous Beara stages,cod’s head, Ardgroom, the Healy pass, and one run of Kilmacalogue what’s sure to be a great event with a brilliant entry in, programmes are for sale in lynches on the pier and centra etc, feel free to spectate and see the great cars on the roads and Saftey is priority.I would like to thank the people that are being closed in on the stages thanks so much it wouldn’t be possible only for ye, ye are a credit to Beara, it’s a massive boost to the area keeping positive is a must,thanks to Dermot Healy and team for the outrageous amount of work they put in,enjoy the weekend anyone has any query on the day or otherwise my number is 0864001398 and I can run it thru Dermot Healy they be no problem. We will be remembering Craig Breen fondly a huge loss, as he says himself flat to square right🥲👍take care
