During Irish Road Safety Week we hosted our largest AXA Roadsafe Roadshows in Letterkenny, Donegal, with over 2,800 transition year students across 2 days. A poignant stop, as young road deaths in Donegal have risen sharply in 2026.

Held in partnership with An Garda Síochána and Donegal County Council at the Aura Leisure Centre, students heard powerful stories from collision survivors, emergency service personnel and experts.

We’ll be sharing video interviews with some of our speakers, giving you a closer look at the impactful messages delivered during the event.

A first important stop in Limerick to speak to students at the AXA Roadsafe Roadshow, as new data highlights risks for young drivers

Superintendent Michael Fleming and Garda Sarah Durack spoke to us at the event held in the University of Limerick Concert Hall last week. An Garda Síochána Limerick

Young people in Limerick aged 16–25 accounted for the largest share of fatalities and serious injuries between 2022 and 2025, representing 23% of the total recorded (412)

In 2025, 11 people lost their lives on Limerick roads and 69 were seriously injured. This year to date, 11 road fatalities have been recorded already - matching the total number of road deaths recorded throughout all of 2025 with three months of the year remaining.
