Today I share with you true passion and love to the place I’m living in which is Tipperary Co.
It can’t be better day for that then Today, as MacCarthy is back home again.
It’s not a PR stunt or way of me and D.C. Garage taking advantage of you to ask you to visit our establishment more often. Just reflection of fellow neighbour :)
As I said its private and true what you are going to reed next, so Please stay for it.
For a Foreigner who was looking to settle down somewhere else then the place he was born into, Ireland and Tipperary in particular, Is proving to be right and only choice, I ever made.
I feel privileged and truly happy that my drifting boat end up on this shores. For all my 18 years being here I never felt to be a stranger and you Irish people, from all of the global nations, for me , You are most friendly and loving, and You do it truly unconditionally.
Behaviour, so rare this days that I wander will I ever still be around if my Boat drifted anywhere else.
But to the Point. Hurling, GAA, and the way you kept your nation together over the past 100 years astonishing me. You need to be here 24/7 to see and understand it all. and I’m so happy I was a witness of it all. Small fraction, from Celtic Tiger days, via Bobble burst, struggles after, till these days of Phoenix rising from the ashes.
But that’s not important that much for me, as it is important the lesson I learn from your Irish Sport and Hurling in particular over the years.
And The lesson is, Be passionate and do not Give Up!
Go Tipp Go. sweetest sentence I ever learn. I never met anybody around who think otherwise , Clonmel, Newcastle, Cahir. Carrick on Sure Fethard, to name the closest places I’m living in.
So here it its:
I lost my voice Today , watching All Ireland final from the cosy couch in my Home. Surly I could go to the Pub and watch it there but not, for me It was Private experience I wanted to share it with my family, and to make sure that one Pint to much do not distract my Concentration on the game.
But that’s not all, frankly only Me out of 4 members of my family was sure Tipp will succeed again. Hence my presence in the house was crucial to prove it otherwise to them, and to be in the right place and right time to say: I know this crowd I know the passion which leading this County for years and years I and assured that Tipp will win again.
TBH you need to be blind and deaf to not notice it how deep in the souls of Tipperarians is passion to the boys in Blue and Gold, , I’m not a stranger to it too. I did believed too, and cried at full swing at the last whistle,
0-20 3-25 could not be any better. Cats with tail between their legs. go home defeated after one of the best Finals I ever sow being here.
Pure joy and happiness Thx for that.
Concluding.
If any trouble will came to this Island in the next 20 years or so, and if for any reason your Irish Openness and Friendship towards peps like me change for worst, perhaps blaming us for this troubles. Please remember that you are going to hit your own crowd, Peoples You cared for. as after all, You teach us, you bread us, you blossom our chances we could not ever flourish anywhere else. Maybe we are not Irish per sy or Birth cert, but we are You. We share all same things.
If Trouble comes we will be on your side no matter what. I Hope it’s not going to be Berxit thing.
