I am a highly skilled professional with more than 8 years experience in the Auto-Marine Detailing industry (with 5 years experience spray painting & polishing for McLaren and Aston Marten). I am proficient in paint & gelcoat restoration, teak restoration, antifoul application and much more. At Marine Detailing Ireland we specialise in restoring faded and oxidised boats to look like new again. We are experts in machine polishing, with a background in automotive bodywork for companies including Aston Martin and McLaren. With a variety of tools to suit any job, we have developed a three-step process to ensure the removal of all oxidation from the gelcoat through wet-sanding and machine-polishing, leaving a long-lasting, high-shine finish which will last years rather than months. We also offer ceramic coating to give up to three years’ protection from fading and oxidation, and creating a smooth finish that prevents dirt and grime from sticking, allowing for effortless cleaning. We provide services for private and commercial customers alike, having previously polished for MGM Boats, Belfast Harbour Authority, Storm-Tec and many more.

See the fantastic before and after on this Sun 2500 which we were asked to restore in preparation for sale. As you can see it was very faded to begin with: we wet-sand to remove all oxidation first; then machine-polished to restore the gloss finish; before refining with our dual-action machine to remove any swirls or scratches left behind. To finish we applied a ceramic coating to ensure it looks ship-shape for years to come.

We gave this Prestige a full detail in Kinsale, Co. Cork.

After machine polishing three times we were able to get the Gelcoat looking fantastic once again. After all of the polishing was completed we prepped and applied a ceramic coating to protect the Gelcoat from fading again.

Once the Gelcoat was polished we moved onto polishing the handrails along with deep cleaning and restoring the anti skid flooring and the teak on the swimming platform

We detailed this Bayliner Capri for Storm-tec Marine services in Magherafelt. For a twenty five year old boat she looks fantastic

The gelcoat on this speedboat was oxidised and had lost it’s shine after spending years in the sun without being polished or waxed.
We wet-sanded all of the exterior to remove the dead gelcoat before machine polishing every inch three times to get her looking new again.
After this we ceramic coated the Gelcoat to protect this shine for years to come.

We also gave the interior a full valet and restored the tired seat cushions and carpet flooring

We detailed this Red Bay for Infinity Swimming ♾️

✨ Machine polished all gelcoat twice, and applied a polymer sealant to prevent from future fading
✨ Hand-polished all metal work
✨ Machine polished all acrylic windows to remove scratches
✨ Deep cleaned tubing, with a graphene coating applied to bring back the gloss and protect from the sun
✨ The extremely faded Suzuki outboards were machine polished three times to bring back their shine, with a protectant ceramic coating then applied

Machine polished this Outhill Flying Fox twice and followed up with a ceramic coating to slow down future fading.
