Here is our recently completed 2.4 stroker Evo 9 MR.

No expense spared with this. Built by the renowned Evo Specialist, Lee Lipton.

This car has undergone a complete transformation in regards powertrain. It has gone from 2.0 to 2.4 complimented by a Garrett GT3582r turbo and a Link ECU. It’s also had balance shaft delete, Anti Lag and Launch Control added, Audi R8 coils, ID injectors, 46mm Tial wastegate, screamer pipe, Custom made manifold, ACT flywheel and clutch, 3 port boost solenoid, etc etc.

Currently sitting just under 600 horsepower, although, I’d imagine in the future, the soft 6 speed will be swapped for the stronger 5 speed and maybe some more power with changes to fuelling and turbo setup.

Been a long journey with this one, roll on summer 2026 when she can stretch her legs 💥

We are seeing more and more of these engines coming in with oil pressure problems, red light on the dash is the first sign! Ford and Peugeot/Citröen being the main culprits! The timing system they use is called a wet belt where it’s submerged in oil and naturally enough, kevlar/rubber will break down over time causing the main oil pick up to block with debris from the wet belt causing oil starvation. This can be critical if not dealt with in time, causing thousands of euro worth of damage!

We decided to give our MR a little TLC, being an Evo 9 MR , no expense was spared, we treated it to a full Head Upgrade. Evo 9 Aftermarket High lift Cams, Walbro 450 lph fuel pump (already installed),Polished and Ported Head, Cosworth Head Gasket, ARP Headstuds and an already fitted 3 port boost solenoid ….
