Let's talk data. Perks of having this old Vipec v88 with lots of input and output. Like having a patient at ICU on close observation.
Recap for today
- Speed
Went 5th gear at straight top speed before R1 217kph rpm (gps subtract about 4kph). Sx2 235/40/17.
- Boost
Spike to 1.55bar at 6.3K rpm. maintain at 1.4bar until 1.34 at 8k rpm.
Good enough for me.
- Duty cycle
Maximum dutycycle is 47.1%
Expected from two fuel pumps. This is 4x1000 injectors.
2nd pump ON after 3.5k rpm or 8% dutycycle.
- Engine coolant temp
Temp increase while warming up, and drops to a cool 82 celcius during runs.
- Intake air temp
Now this is interesting. It was 10 tp 11AM, sun is high, clear sky. Combination of ambient temp and engine bay temp result in 50 celcius. But we got WMI. 50:50 percent mixture.
Temp drops to 25 celcius! 25 celcius at spools and rises only to 38 celcius at fullboost. WMI works!
- Exhaust gas temp
Max EGT is 730 celcius. Still A lot of room.
- Oil pressure
Really happy, averaging at 550kpa even during corners.
- Oil temp
Sadly vipec sensor for oil temp died. But we still have the defi. Oil temp around 90 celcius.
- Rev
I shift at 7.9K. Recorded max at 8.6K while depressing clutch.
Tried the slick but still spins at 2nd gear, too fast shifting and the car bogs, thankfully this is 23.5" slick, so faster recover, but we still have tricks up our sleeve, hope it works though.
Too bad we havent been able to utilize the speed sensor on all wheels, would be cool to see the datalog everytime the tires slip
