friendly reminder from your local grease monkey: please for the love of god stop putting cheap $50 aluminum leveling spacers on your $60k trucks. ur suspension geometry hates you, it rides like a busted shopping cart, and u are destroying ur ball joints. just pulled another set of cheap pucks off a customer's truck today and finally slapped on a proper set of Eibach 2.0 coilovers. do it right the first time so u dont end up paying a shop like mine twice to fix ur mistakes. if u actually care about ur ride quality, i'll drop the exact kit we recommend in the comments.

Happy Sunday morning fellas! ☕️🛻

Had a buddy swing by the garage yesterday and he just put the BAKFlip MX4 on his 3rd Gen TRD Off-Road (pics below). Got to see it in person and man, it looks unbelievably clean. It sits so perfectly flush with the bed rails.

I’ve been debating for weeks on what cover to get for my own rig, and seeing his setup might have finally sold me on the hard-folding style.

Weekend PSA for the GM guys out there.

I'm seeing way too many guys throwing a 2.5" or 3" leveling spacer on their 2007-2018 Silverado or Sierra and then complaining that the truck rides like a wooden wagon or wanders all over the highway.

Listen, the factory stamped steel upper control arms were NOT designed for that geometry. When u lift the front end that high, your factory ball joints are completely maxed out. They bind up, they wear out in months, and worst-case scenario... u snap a ball joint doing 70mph down the interstate. 💀
If u are leveled or lifted, u absolutely NEED an aftermarket Forged Upper Control Arm to correct the ball joint angle and give u your suspension travel back. Don't risk your life and your rig over a piece of cheap factory steel.

sunday shop talk. if your steering wheel shakes violently every time u hit the brakes on the highway, your factory rotors are warped. running big heavy tires or towing a load will cook factory blank rotors like the ones on this rig super fast.

if u are spending the weekend doing a brake job, absolutely do not put cheap blank auto parts store rotors back on it. u need slotted and drilled rotors to dissipate that extreme heat. upgrading your brakes is the best insurance policy for your truck. what projects did u guys knock out in the garage this weekend? 🔧

seen way too many half ton trucks squatting all the way to the bump stops on the highway today dragging heavy boats and campers to the lake. guys, if u tow heavy on the weekends, do your leaf springs and your steering geometry a massive favor. factory suspension is too soft for that tongue weight. u need to install helper air bags in the rear to level it back out. makes towing 100x safer n smoother. dont be that guy pointing his headlights at the sky lol 🍻

just finished wrapping up this ranch hand legend style bumper on a customers heavy duty rig. customer wanted that real protection against deer n other crap on the road without ruining the look. almost threw my back out lifting this heavy sob into place but the fitment is perfect. front end is armored up now. time to wash the grease off n grab a cold one 🍻
