Volt egyszer egy B6 Passat című fejezet…🥹

Május elején a cimboránál volt egy B6 hengerfejezésre, de sajnos utána kiderült hogy az egyik kerékcsapágy felfogja adni a szolgálatot, és mivel ez az autó egy kedves barátomé így nem akartam visszaengedni Németországba, így a csapágycsere mellett még egy-két apróság volt csinálva. Kiderült hogy a hátsó betétek nem voltak zsírral ellátva, az első izzók 180 fokkal el voltak forgatva, a kipufogó (amiről nincs képem) de el volt törve. Mivel indulás előtti este volt nálam az autó, egy új kipufogóra már nem volt idő szóval maradt a hegesztés. Így már biztonságosan és zörgő-búgó hang nélkül eshetett neki az 1000 km-es útnak.😁✅

At the beginning of May, my friend had a B6 for a cylinder head repair (skimming, pressure testing ect) but after that it turned out that the nearside rear wheel bearing is about to leave the chat, but because this car is for a quite close friend to me, then I decided NOT to let her back. Other than that we found other small bits as the rear brake pads and sliders were not greased, headlight bulbs were fitted upside down, back box of the exhaust was broken (haven’t got any photos of that). We were literally on Friday late afternoon so we couldn’t get new muffler, therefore I decided to weld it back. So after that she could drive it safely back to Germany.😁✅

Lassan két hónapja nem volt poszt, mert idő sem volt már rá, és energia sem nagyon de mindennap észben tartottam hogy erre is kell valahogy időt szánni!

Az F Astra után egy Suzuki Ignis volt az alanyunk. Az ügyfélnek elmondták egy másik helyen hogy körülbelül 40-45 ezer forintból tudják megcsinálni az autót aminek egyetlen baja volt, mégpedig hogy szivárgott az olaj a karternél. A vicc az egészben az hogy azt mondták hogy ki kellene cserélni a tömítést ami önmagában 30 ezer forint….Amikor az autó alá néztem és láttam hogy “dicsak buksi, hát ez ragasztott karteres” akkor megnyugtattam az ügyfelet hogy ez a töredékéből ki fog jönni annyi hogy a megfelelő száradáshoz én javasolnék egy teljes napot és hibátlan lesz😌✅

Rövid poszt de jövök is a másikkal

Nearly 2 months since the last post cause there was no time, and at the end of the day usually just I flew into the bed but I kept in my mind that however but have to take some time for the content.

After the Astra F the next car was a Suzuki Ignis with a slight oil leak. Customer being told that other garage could fix it around 100£ as only the seal cost cca 60-65 quid. When I checked under the car and I saw the pan, I was like…”Men…it’s a holy sealed pan”.
I told the customer that it will cost less then a half but to be sealed properly, we should let it dry for a day and it will good to go.😌✅

Az elmúlt szűk két hétben elég sok munka volt ami azt eredményezte hogy nem tudtam már esténként felrakni posztokat.

A legutóbbi Sharan után egy Opel Astra F érkezett 1.7 dízel motorral szerelve egy közel egész nagy szervízre.
Az átvizsgálás során felbukkant hogy az autó hátsó fele különösen alacsony. Sajnos a hátsó spirálrugók elfáradtak és összeültek. Emiatt a kipufogó flexi csöve is elfáradt a kipufogó dobbal együtt.

Az autó megérett az olaj és vezérlés cserére is úgyhogy ezt is megoldottuk, majd az ügyfél jelezte hogy az 5.-ik fokozat nem mindig használható, feltételezhetően a váltó rudazat mechanizmus pontatlansága okozhatja ezt, de ezt is orvosoltuk.
Volt némi olajszivárgás, minimális hűtőközeg szivárgás a tartálytól, és egy kormányösszekötő gömbfejre is szükség volt.

Amik el lettek végezve:

- Jármű átvizsgálás✅
- Hátsó spriálrugók és lengéscsillapítók cseréje ✅
- Kipufogó rendszer javítása hegesztéssel✅
- Első kormány összekötő cseréje és futómű beállítás✅
- Olaj és szűrők cseréje✅
- Kartertömítés cseréje✅
- Vezérlés cseréje, vízpumpával együtt✅
- Kiegyenlítő tartály cseréje✅
- Hűtőközeg feltöltése és beállítása -28 C-ra✅
- Váltó mechanizmus javítása✅

In the last two weeks we were quite busy and therefore I did not have time in the evenings to make a posts on the page. (Trying to catch up with myself😅)

Since the last car which was the VW Sharan, the next one was an Opel Astra F with an 1.7 diesel engine, which turned up for a major maintenance.
During the inspection I found two knackered rear coil springs, which made a car quite low, and therefore the exhaust system got few damage at the flexi pipe, and at the mid muffler.

On the car was due an oil service with all filters, and the timing belt kit so we’ve done these too. The customer mentioned other few things before he handed over the car, which one of them was the missing 5th gear (possibly gearbox k**b mechanism is not accurate). We’ve had a minor oil and coolant leak and we had to fit a new track rod end which followed by a tracking as well.

What has been done:

- Vehicle inspection ✅
- Rear coil spring and shock absorbers has been replaced ✅
- Exhaust system repair by welding✅
- Front track rod ends replacement and tracking ✅
- Oil and filters has been changed✅
- Oil sump seal has been changed✅
- Timing belt kit with coolant pump has been changed✅
- Coolant reservoir has been changed✅
- Filled up with coolant and set to - 28 Celsius✅
- Geark**b mechanism has been repaired✅

After a long time, our page changed a lot. So basically we’ll working in south of Hungary therefore the posts will come in English and Hungarian language too. Jobs will come with before-after pictures, to save it for myself, to prove it for the customer, and if the customer would decide to sell the car, then they could provide as a maintenance history.

For the first time this year here is the first maintenance post of this beautiful VW Sharan 1.9 TDI (lovely PD engine) ✅

This vehicle popped in for a regular oil service, which obviously includes all filter, and while I did the inspection, found a cracked fuel line between the pump and the fuel filter which has been repaired with new line.

- Regular inspection
- Oil has been drained
- Sump plug has been changed
- All the filters has been changed
- Fuel line repair
- Door hinges has been greased up

Hosszú idő után az oldal változásokon esett át. Lényegében Magyarország déli régiójában vagyok megtalálható ezért a posztok angol és magyar nyelven is fognak érkezni. A posztok előtte-utána képekkel fognak érkezni, hogy számomra is meglegyen, az ügyfél számára is tudjam biztosítani, és ha az ügyfél úgy döntene a jovőben hogy eladná a járművet akkor a vevő is meggyőződhet az előzetes szervízekről.

Első posztnak ebben az évben ez a VW Sharan érkezett (csodás PD motorral) ✅

Ez az autó érkezett egy esedékes olajcserére, amibe természetesen bele tartozik az összes szűrő cseréje. Amíg az átvizsgálás zajlott, megakadt a szemem egy ugyan gyári de repedezett üzemanyag csövön amit a szűrő és a tandem pumpa között található. Ezt orvosoltuk egy méretre szabott új csővel.

- Átvizsgálás
- Olaj cseréje
- Olaj leeresztő csavar cseréje
- Összes szűrő cseréje
- Ajtó zsanérok lekezelése kenőzsírral

After the 17 days trip in Edinburgh, I’ve been in London for a week.

Nothing special job, apart from this 1992 Fiat Ducato 14.

Owner of the vehicle came in to us, to replace the O/S coil spring, obvious we will replace them on both side.

About these Ducato suspensions…

There is no big maths…wheel hub goes together by 4 bolts onto the suspension arm, and that would be the all……well it is not, because there is one more part (I don’t know how that called, as we could not even find that part anywhere), which is separated from the wheel hub. Let’s call it for “console” for the steering track rod end. You will see that on the first picture. I said, there is 4 bolts, so 2 of these longer then the other 2, because the 2 longer bolts are holding that “console” to the wheel hub. We could manage 3 bolts of the 4, but unfortunately I broke the head of the last one, and the frustrated thing, is not because of the thread was rust, it’s because the actual bolt was stuck in that console. Anyway…could write hours, how we tried to manage it, but I just won’t as it was just a headache 🤣

Basically we knew it is not gonna be an easy job, as the 99.5% of the screws are in this 31 year old vehicle, will not just be a rusty, it is definitely rust.

Fiat says, this is a 3 hours job (yes it was from 1986-1993 when the vehicle was half rust like that🤣)….we spent 11-12 hours to manage it.

I didn’t have time to do proper pictures of the process, but I hope you can see what actually was the problem..

Welcome on my first post.

I’m literally arrived home from Edinburgh as I’ve been up there for 17 days to start the off-season service on the Fiat’s and Ford’s.

For the first time I’ll upload some photos for now about the jobs that I’ve done, and I’ll come with new posts later on what happened here for the last 17 days at this depot.
