Some come for the freedom.
Some for the silence when the engine goes off.
Some for the feeling of the boat heeling under a full sail.

Picking an anchorage is more than finding a pretty spot on the chart.

First, check where the wind is coming from. Then check where it’s going. Look at the depth, the seabed, the boats around you — and think about what happens after sunset.

Because that calm little bay can feel very different once the wind shifts during the night.

And when everything checks out?
Drop the anchor, turn off the engine and enjoy the evening.
