*ATTENTION TO ALL BUYERS*
For all the items I sell here I cannot guarantee they will be tax/duty free when they arrive.
I have had members ask me if there will be extra duty/tax charged when the items arrive and I honestly can only answer that I have not had issues with buyers in the past and to help with this issue I do mark the items as gifts and also devalue them to approx 20%-30% of the items value (I lose out when I do this as if the item gets lost or stolen then I will only get back the amount I put down on the form from the shipping insurance).
I have sent out many ladders in the past month with no issues from any buyer but have just had a buyer let me know they have been charged 20+ pounds by parcel force for the release of their L400 ladders.
I cannot account for fees like this as:
1) this usually never happens, 2) if it does the cost could be any amount, 3) if I was going to give buyers a guarantee/refund then I would have to charge a substantial extra amount on top of the price of my items (which would be inappropriate).
I hope all buyers understand where I'm coming from and I must add nearly all my buyers are satisfied customers who have not had these issues with international customs but I felt the issue must be clear to all buyers so have written this notice.
