TRAFFIC ALERT 🚨🚨🚨

Today’s lawlessness on our roads is not simply a police problem—it is a serious road-safety issue that requires meaningful action from the police, the courts and all other stakeholders.

The dangerous driving practices displayed by some motorists cannot be addressed with a mere slap on the wrist, excessive leniency or misplaced discretion. The vehicles pictured here are being operated by drivers who knowingly disregard traffic laws and demonstrate an irresponsible and careless attitude toward the safety of other road users.

Such behaviour is not harmless. It can result in serious injuries or even the death of an innocent road user.

The police continue to take action against dangerous and unlawful driving practices, but enforcement alone cannot solve the problem. Shouldn’t the other stakeholders in the road-safety equation also play their part instead of making excuses or allowing dangerous practices to continue?

Road safety requires accountability, enforcement and responsibility from everyone.
