The lubricant for bearings helps to reduce friction and noise level during operation and also to protect a detail from corrosion ⚙️

Since there are many types of lubricants it’s important to approach their choice carefully so that bearing can serve as long as possible 👇

There are lubricant materials of two main types:
▫️ consistent lubricants (solid / plastic)
▫️ liquid lubricants (oils)

Among greases we can distinguish:

✅ Silicone lubricant. Advantages – good water resistance, the possibility of application under a wide range of temperature conditions, safety for use with many plastics and rubbers. However, it is not suitable for high loads and speeds.
✅ Polyurea lubricant. It is used in friction units of those mechanisms which operate at elevated temperatures, under conditions of high loads and speeds, as well as in aggressive environments.
✅ Copper grease. Copper powder is usually present in its composition, thanks to this the bearing becomes more resistant to high temperature 🌡 Copper lubricants are water-resistant, perfectly withstand corrosion, resistant to acids and alkalis.
Liquid lubricants include the following:
✅ Mineral lubricant. This type of lubricant is widespread – it is applied for general and high-speed use. It has a low cost which is explained by simple operational characteristics.
✅ Synthetic lubricant. Synthetic lubricants have important advantages – they retain their properties in an aggressive environment and also almost do not change the viscosity with temperature fluctuations ⚡️
