Rio Dulce Moto Tours, offers custom guided tours and has years of experience riding the back roads and highways of Guatemala. Every tour, whether it is ½ day or several days, is guided and mostly all inclusive. Our goal is to make your tour as challenging and adventurous as you want, while being safe and having fun. Rio Dulce Moto Tours uses nothing but dirt bikes, mainly because that is what it t

akes to get around Guatemala safely, and ladies bikes are available. The Tours utilize local hotels that are available in the areas that we ride. When possible everyone will have a separate room. Most hotels have a restaurant either on premises or nearby. We also have a bunkhouse that is available to our guests while at our home base, and a restaurant on our premises. Nothing fancy but clean and typical Guatemalan food, as I say “we don’t do cappuccino”. Rio Dulce Moto Tours, is located in the Rio Dulce area of Guatemala, in the small town of Frontera’s, which is a tourist spot for Guatemalan’s, as well as the door to the Caribbean for the boating industry, and a backpacker’s stop on their travels. This is a very safe, small town. Our climate is normally hot, Guatemala has a wet season and a dry season. The wet season normally has the rain late in the afternoons and our tours are able to ride all year round. The Rio Dulce Area is situated on a fault of the North American plate and the Caribbean plate and have highlands within 20 minutes of town. Larger mountains are just a ½ day away. All tours have rest days as called for. The tours are always structured for what you want, either dirt roads, asphalt, scenery, historical sites and any combination you like. Rio Dulce Moto Tours is capable to accommodate your needs, whether we pick you up at the Guatemala City airport and return you there, or give you directions for our location. Our Location is on a major bus route, and not hard to find. The local currency is Quetzal’s and can be obtained at any ATM. the conversion rate is stable at around 7 1/2 to 1 USD. Some conversion can be done here at the base camp. All pricing is in USD to simplify the process. In country we mainly deal with Quetzals. Participants should be in good physical condition as well as arrive with an attitude of flexibility and willingness to be part of a team. Riders should have some dirt riding experience, fully licensed and 25 years and older. Non Guatemaltecos are required to possess a valid passport and current visa (entry stamp) . All tours more than 1 day, are 2 people minimum and 4 people maximum. All tours should have a reservation, but sometimes Rio Dulce Moto Tours can accommodate walk ins. All reservations require a deposit of $100 dollars per rider minimum and higher for special services. PayPal works great, as well as Bit Coin or Dash. Charge cards are not practical here with to up to 20% surcharge for foreign cards. There is a variety of helmets available, as well as rain gear. Although we do have some things here, any other riding gear should be brought by the participants, as needed or desired. i.e. gloves, bandana’s, goggles, boots, knee & elbow guards, spare glasses, and other appropriate riding gear. Don’t forget the jacket for the mountains, layering is best. Participants should bring a small backpack to carry your gear and clothes as well as a f***y bag for papers and personal items. All tour participants are required to sign a standard release of liability agreement. You and all participants are subject to the rules and laws of Guatemala. Your guide can explain any questions you may have. It is very important you follow your guides advice at all times, as to the fact that driving in Guatemala can and will be challenging by itself. If you become sick or unable to continue with the tour we will ensure that you receive the best assistance available. On behalf of Myself and the Guides, we want to ride and have fun, Rio Dulce Moto Tours is not a large commercial business, Our guides are riders that love riding, and We would like for you to join us.
