The magic of the sea and our love for sailing made us create Sailing Compass. Emphasis is given on safety, quality and pleasure.

Driven by passion, Sailing Compass offers a unique sailing experience in the Greek islands tailored to your desires. Whatever your sailing dream, we offer a wide range of activities such as skippered charter, team building and sailing events as well as sailing lessons. The boat holds the highest standard in sea safety regulations and state-of-the-art equipment. Certified & experienced skipper always takes the helm, getting a chance to relax and enjoy a stress-free holiday. The boat is also equipped with Automated External Defibrillator (AED) and the captain is a First Aider, certified by the European Resuscitation Council, trained in the main fields of Basic Life Support and use of an AED (last update in 2023). Αγγλόφωνα τμήματα μπορούν επίσης να δημιουργηθούν κατόπιν συνεννόησης.

⚠️ The most common stern mooring mistake doesn't happen during docking... it happens BEFORE you reach the berth.

How prepared are your stern lines before the maneuver begins?

Using double stern lines provides greater security, better control, and more options when conditions are less than ideal.

⚓ Before approaching the berth:

✔️ Rig two stern lines from each stern cleat
✔️ Lead them outside all rails and stanchions
✔️ Coil them neatly for smooth deployment
✔️ Keep them clear of propellers and steering gear

Why use double stern lines?

➖ Added redundancy if one line slips or parts
➖ Better stern control in wind and current
➖ Reduced shock loads by sharing the strain
➖ More flexibility when adjusting your position

💡 Good docking doesn't start at the berth. It starts with proper preparation.
