Château Haut-Brion became the first Bordeaux vineyard
to be named after its terroir, instead of the owner or the parish,
making the estate the first luxury wine brand in the world.
This led Haut-Brion to earn the rare distinction of
Premier Grand Cru Classé (Classified First Growth)
in the 1855 classification, the only cru outside
the Médoc to receive this prestigious title.

Inspired by the wooden boat "Iliakhtida", an emblematic vessel that was reconstructed as part of the social responsibility actions of the Plomari Distillery, the collectible bottle captures colors, lines and memories from the Aegean. The aim of the initiative is to highlight the traditional art of shipbuilding, a skill that is threatened with extinction and is inextricably linked to the identity of insular Greece.
