Les bielles en “I“ doivent leur nom à leur ressemblance avec un "I" majuscule lorsqu'on les coupe en deux.

En raison de leur design, les bielles en I sont principalement utilisées dans les moteurs conçus pour des niveaux de suralimentation élevés. Cela est dû, entre autres, à la répartition du poids ajouté à ces bielles.

La bielle en I se prête à des taux de compression plus élevées (IDEAL POUR LES MOTEUR DIESEL) , notamment en raison de la forme de la zone de autour de l'axe du piston.

Elles supportent jusqu'à 1000ch, ce qui est principalement dû au fait qu’elles sont façonnés à partir d'un acier à très haute résistance .

BUT WHAT IS I-BEAM RODS ?

I-beam connecting rods owe their name to their resemblance to a capital ‘I’ when you cut them apart.

You’ll see I-beam rods almost exclusively in engines that are designed for high amounts of boost because of its design. This is due to where the weight is added to these connecting rods among other reasons.

The I-beam rod lends itself to higher compression loads (IDEAL FOR DIESEL ENGINES) partially because of the shape up around the pin area.

Sustain up to 1000 hp, which is mainly due to the fact that they are milled out of solid, high-strength steel.
