While many are waiting for foreign companies to build Africa's future, Emenuga, a young embedded systems specialist and founder of M-Embedded Tech Lab, has quietly done something remarkable in Aba, Abia State—he built a custom smartphone from scratch.
He unveiled the prototype at an innovation event attended by Governor Alex Otti, the Minister of Education, Dr. Tunji Alausa, and development partners including the UNDP.
Governor Otti was so impressed that he told him:
"Whatever brought you here today has placed good fortune on your path."
He also pledged to engage further and support the project.
