Job description :
Responsibilities
Greet customers and interact with them to understand their vehicular problems.
Drive the vehicle with the technician and the customer to gain firsthand knowledge of customer complaints
Prepare the cost estimates for repairs
Maintain and manage a daily record of repairs and services of vehicles undertaken and completed.
Ensure delivery of vehicles to customers on time.
Educate customers on maintaining their vehicles free from troubles and problems.
Supervise, manage and monitor technicians and mechanics.
Handle customer inquiries and respond to their needs in a cool, courteous and prompt manner.
Ensure customer satisfaction at the highest level through effective services and repairs.
Ensure full utilization of workshop available labour and resources to achieve planned operational targets.
Supervise and train technicians to produce quality work.
Roles
1. Allocate job cards and manages technicians to maximize productivity by aligning jobs to skill sets within the team.
2. Ensure that the technicians carry out the jobs within the allotted time.
3. Ensure the most effective use of available time and equipment.
4. Ensure all pre-orders are approved and obtains customer approval for all additional work.
5. Ensure the workshop observes all parts procurement processes in terms of quality, quantity and timely delivery.
6. Ensure all required information on each job card for each job is properly maintained.
7. Identifies and organizes staff training needs for improving technical knowledge and job performance.
8. Gives practical assistance, on-the-job training and technical advice to subordinates.
9. Inform his superiors and if necessary on any unclear working instructions or costly extensions on the repair works for onward communication to client.
Skills
1. Good academic background especially in the sciences is preferable.
2. Good knowledge of automotive systems and management is a plus.
3. Some experience in a fully equipped automobile workshop is a plus.
4. Customer service oriented.
5. Effective communication skills with strong emphasis on listening capabilities.
6. Strong analytical and results oriented skills.
7. Firm, focused and willing to learn.
