Never a good sign when you've got the angle grinder out! 😂

A couple of repairs and replacement parts for this little Benelli a while back. It had seen better days, and had a few bent/broken items from a little spill.

All damaged items fixed or replaced, along with a new C&S kit and a few other bits and bobs keeping it on the road and purring away!

Sidecar class suspended for the remainder of the 2026 Isle of Man TT Races.

STATEMENT ISSUED AT 12:15 ON 28 MAY 2026

STATEMENT ON BEHALF OF THE ISLE OF MAN TT RACES

Following an incident involving a Sidecar team during the third Qualifying Session of the 2026 Isle of Man TT Races, the Race Organisation initiated an immediate technical and operational review to assess the circumstances surrounding the incident and the continued participation of the Sidecar class at the event.

Following that review, in conjunction with the Event Promoter, a decision has been taken to suspend the Sidecar class for the remainder of the 2026 Isle of Man TT Races.

This precautionary measure has been implemented in the interests of competitor and spectator safety and reflects the Race Organisation’s commitment to reviewing all aspects of event safety and operational delivery whenever an incident occurs.

All sidecar competitors and teams involved in the event have been briefed by Race Officials on the outcome of the initial review and the next stages of the assessment process.

We recognise the long-standing history of Sidecar racing at the TT, together with the commitment of the competitors, teams and supporters involved in the class. This decision has not been taken lightly. However, the safety of competitors, spectators, marshals, officials and all those involved in the event must remain the priority.

Further updates will be provided in due course through official Isle of Man TT Races channels.

Carb cleaning, rejetting, balancing on this one. (14 or so time these carbs have been off the bike, nearly worn out the screwdriver!!!).

Multiple variations of jetting, springs lengths and diaphragm changes on this one, in order to get it running right after what must have been quite a few backyard fettle sessions, I think.

Definitely not a fun process this time, but finally got it pretty good, and she's pulling hard from low down to up top once more! 😎

This track bike had a little excursion across the grass last year, and the fairing and rear subframe were a little worse for wear. Nothing that couldn't be fixed, though!

After straightening and/or replacing a few items, the time came to fit a new race fairing. Yes, of course it's a straight fit, they said!

Narrator: It was not a straight fit.

Hours and hours of swearing, heating and bending, trimming, and a little more swearing (yes, these fairings were on and off the bike MULTIPLE times during this process!), and the fit is now good. Dare I say it, great, even 😁 And the seat unit is absolutely solid.

Bike looks great, and will once again grace the racetracks of the UK 😎🤘
