Why should we pay cash everywhere with banknotes instead of a card ?

- I have a £50 banknote in my pocket. Going to a restaurant and paying for dinner with it. The restaurant owner then uses the note to pay for the laundry. The laundry owner then uses the note to pay the barber. The barber will then use the note for shopping. After an unlimited number of payments, it will still remain a £50, which has fulfilled its purpose to everyone who used it for payment and the bank has jumped dry from every cash payment transaction made..

- But if I come to a restaurant and pay for digitally - Card, bank fees for my payment transaction charged to the seller are 3%, so around £1.50 and so will the fee £1.50 for each further payment transaction or owner re laundry or payments of the owner of the laundry shop, or payments of the barber etc..... Therefore, after 30 transactions, the initial £50 will remain only £5 and the remaining £45 became the property of the bank thanks to all digital transactions and fees.

PS: it’s now 4 months since I used my card and I love it. More human interactions, more questions, more conversations about why cash needs to be everyone’s priority. No one needs to know where I shop, how much I spend and what I buy 🤷🏻‍♀️. I am not okay with a digital currency - no way 🚫

Next on our list of daily sponsors appreciation post is from our Penallta RFC U9s

This season under 9’s are the inaugural Under 6’s that started at Penallta in the 2019/20 season after spells through brilliant Mini Miners programme.

The club has managed to maintain an under 6’s ever since which has put the M&J's in good health when climbing through the age groups.

Some of the Under 9’s players today have been wearing the Blue and Gold of Penallta for 6 years now such as Ajai Alan Davies, Cooper Barwood & Elliott Pope to name a few.

U9’s is such a big step for the kids, it’s the season they transition from tag to contact.. However, with some Penallta “Legends” in the mix as coaches like Andrew “Pouchy” Powell, Matthew “Fish” Flower and greatly assisted by Adrian Jones, Ben Edwards, Andrew Mazurczak, John Pope & Marcus Stephens the boys are in fantastic hands, and not to mention the 4 “Mam’s” that glue the brilliant age group together in Louise Powell (Team Manager), Rhiannon Day (Sponsorship Co-Ordinator) and all round hands on busy bee’s Chelsea Mazurczak and Emma Edwards.

For such a large group, undoubtedly, a lot of sponsorship would come with it and as you can tell by our poster, we struggled to fit all in, but nevertheless, we are all very appreciated for the kind generosity to the following business this season:-
