Since having my new car I have had 20 tests, 18 passes and 2 fails, resulting in a 90% pass rate. Sounds good but that doesn’t mean this is my pass rate! To get an official pass rate an instructor must first contact the DVSA as they hold all test results. Instructors can make an estimate of their own pass rates but this can easily be manipulated. What I am saying is to be very careful and don’t be fooled. If you are looking for a good instructor, my best advice is to look for instructors with reviews that are on an independent website that are not controlled by them.

REMEMBER, if the fog is thick and you CAN see the rear lights of the vehicle ahead, then you may be too close to stop in an emergency.

One witness said: 'You would hear the screeching of brakes and then a thud. It was all you could hear for about 10 minutes - crash after crash after crash.'
