Thank you, Helen Mary, for this brilliant testimonial about the KIT Video Hub! ๐Ÿ™ We love hearing of PDIs finding the information in the videos easy to absorb, and full of advice that helps. Helen wrote:

โ€˜A fantastic training package, not only is the advice spot on, it's comprehensive and bite sized chunks which are easy to absorb.

This system has been developed by highly experienced ORDIT qualified trainers unlike some offerings out there which are put together by good sales people and that's it.

Being a PDI is hard, but using this will really help you. Honest, helpful advice from fantastic trainers.โ€™

Rescue-KIT Eastbourne, Completed! ๐Ÿ’ฅ๐Ÿ’ฅ

Another group of PDIs have developed their skills, knowledge and understanding so they can successfully pass part 3!

Delivered by Lee and Charlotte, in-car, over two days. The forward-thinking PDIs were split into two groups and benefited from every aspect of the course. Not only to pass their part 3, but to develop further as instructors to deliver great lessons and teach learners to become safe drivers.

We wish them every success with their part 3! ๐Ÿ™Œ

Rachel Scott subscribed to our Video Hub and left this fantastic testimonial. Thank you, Rachel ๐Ÿ™. Good luck!

โ€˜Iโ€™ve only just started my journey with the video hub, currently about 5% of the way through, itโ€™s already got me thinking about how Iโ€™m teaching and what I can do to make myself a better pdi, I have my part 3 in 2 months and already these videos are giving me a better understanding of what is required. Thank you for making these videos and helping people like me.โ€™

Independent does not mean silent.

Independence is about who is making the decisions. If the pupil is choosing the gear, the speed, the gap, the position, the route, then they are working independently, even if you are still part of the conversation.

Sitting back and saying nothing while it falls apart is not independence. That is just leaving them to it.

The skill is judging how far to let something run. A pupil who approaches a junction a bit too quickly will learn far more from feeling it and sorting it out themselves than from you calling โ€œbrakeโ€ three seconds early. But if that same approach is going to put you across the path of something coming, you step in. No debate.

So the question is not โ€œam I talking too muchโ€. The question is โ€œwho made that decisionโ€.

Give them the decision. Give them room to get it slightly wrong. Step in before it goes badly wrong.
