This Yamaha R1 Big Bang Raptor was originally rebuilt from the ground up by the customer, who is a mechanic himself. He asked us to carry out a full inspection, make a few improvements, and ensure everything was ready to be enjoyed with complete peace of mind.

Here's what we did:

•Carried out a full inspection of the entire quad, checking over all components and tightening any loose fixings.

•Tidied and re-routed the wiring loom, neatly hiding the ECU and wiring under the seat for a cleaner finish.

•Supplied and fitted a custom-built radiator and fan kit to improve cooling performance and reliability.

•Carbon dipped the outer engine cases and replaced the associated gaskets during reassembly.

•Upgraded the front brake master cylinder to a Brembo RCS19 to complement the existing ProRun braking setup.

•Completed a full service to ensure everything was in top condition.

•We also collected the quad from the customer and delivered it back once the work was complete.

The result is a stunning Yamaha R1 Big Bang Raptor that's now ready to be enjoyed, with the confidence that everything has been thoroughly checked over and set up correctly.

The same customer we built the Stark Varg Banshee for also tasked us with building a classic 2-stroke Yamaha Banshee with his own modern twist.

Starting with a 2006 Yamaha Banshee 50th Anniversary Edition project quad supplied by us, we completely stripped the machine down, replaced approximately 95% of the components with new OEM or upgraded parts, and rebuilt it from a bare frame into what you see today.

Build Specification:
•Yellow, Black & White powder coating
•Brand-new OEM crankcases, Cerakoted black
•Engine fully stripped and rebuilt using a wide range of new components, including a Hot Rods crankshaft, crank bearings and seals, Vertex pistons, OEM cylinder head, transmission bearings, OEM output shaft, OEM clutch casing, water pump and casing, plus many more new internal components. Once completed, the engine underwent a full leak-down test to ensure optimum sealing, performance and long-term reliability.
•Big Gun exhausts, Cerakoted black
• Carburettors stripped, ultrasonically cleaned, rebuilt and re-jetted, with final tuning confirmed through plug chop testing to ensure optimum performance, correct fuelling and long-term reliability.
•Custom-made long-travel front A-arms
•Custom-built Fox Gen 4 Float 3 EVOL long-travel suspension
•ProRun 6-pot brake calipers all round with ProRun 19mm master cylinder
•Wavey brake discs & braided brake lines
•Alba Racing beadlock wheels wrapped in Maxxis Razr 2 tyres
•Alba Racing front bumper
•Widened rear axle
•Dual thumb/twist throttle conversion
•Wide-peg nerf bars
•Brand-new fenders with custom graphics
•STB road-legal DC wiring harness & floated stator conversion
•New seats with gripper covers
•Apple CarPlay system
•Yellow coolant hoses
•Every nut, bolt and washer replaced with new stainless steel hardware
•Every bush, bearing and seal replaced throughout the build
• To finish the build, we carried out a fresh MOT, completed the road registration process and delivered the quad back to its owner, ready to hit the road and make the most of the summer weather.

As with the Stark build, there are undoubtedly plenty of details we've missed from the list above, but the photos still give an idea of the amount of work that has gone into this project.

This build perfectly combines the character and sound of a classic 2-stroke Banshee with modern suspension, braking and reliability upgrades to create something truly special.

This customer asked us to build the WORLD'S FIRST STARK VARG BANSHEE.

Starting with a brand-new Stark Varg Alpha 80HP and a Yamaha Banshee project quad, we got to work stripping both machines down before sending them to Fredwerx for custom frame fabrication. From there, the build was completely rebuilt from a bare frame into what you see today.
