Action shot from service on Malton Forest Rally at the weekend the nova having electric issues not working the starter motor, with power at the starter decided to quickly swap out the starter incase of a stall in stage but no change on the car so had to bump start it out of service. Something to sort after the event, think there’s a few electrical issues to rectify

Unfortunately an early finish on the trackrod today, fuel pump decided it no longer wanted to play after SS5 so had to go rescue after langdale, get it home and new fuel pump fitted

Joe let us know - Its a Vauxhall Astra Gsi 16v Mk3, 1997, it the left the production line straight to Dick Archer at Wizzard Motorport to build for the Group N British Rally Championship with Stuart Egglestone, finishing 1st in class on Pirelli Rally 97 and with Daniel Harper finishing 7th overall on Mull Rally 1st in Class in 98 among other notable results. Still with the original shell, since then has been developed into a Group A car with a race engine redlining at 9000rpm on jenvey throttle bodies, a quaife dog box with L*D, 3 way pro flex suspension, with rear coilovers. Alcon 4 pot front brakes and electric power steering. With a recent full bare shell rebuild by JoeRallySport, where you can follow the car throughout future events on Instagram. 38 year ago Stuart and Steve made the roadbook for the rally Yorkshire and 37 years ago since they first did the event also in a Vauxhall Astra. I do believe they’re first in the road on Saturday morning...

Thankful for the design of the DAM GTi 6R4 with the full back being able to lift away it helped sort the sticking starter motor issue more easily with the limited space around the engine

Unfortunately it wasn't meant to be, this is
where the metro stayed on Sunday morning with an unwell driver we couldn't make the sprint. It's unavoidable and obviously need to be at full health to handle this beast. It will be out in the future that's for certain !
