round 5- greenlight nationals

Qualifying was great and we ended up coming 16th in a class of 25 which is an improvement from last time. the main focus for me was to try and learn to drive the car how it is, and lower my reaction times which was relatively successful.

we was paired up with Felicity Gibbs in E1 which ended up being a double break out however she was the closest to her dial in which gave her the win and knocked us out in the first round. it was a great race and was glad to see her make her way though to E4

however, although it’s never great being eliminated in the first round this was a blessing in disguise because 10 minutes into our 1hr and a half journey home, the turbo went on the van leaving us stuck on the A45 for 8+ hoursπŸ˜…

all in all, it was a great weekend and made some good friends, roll on national finals🏁

round 3- Sportsman Nationals

after encountering problems with the jags gearbox it made it near impossible to run close to our dial ins. the ETs ranged from 14.5 to 15.8. so it’s far from reliable to say the least! the lack of a close dial in left is 23/23 in qualifiers and knocked out in the first round

however, not all doom and gloom! it was Shanes first competitive race weekend and is loving every second of it.

Onwards and Upwards though, hopefully this issue should be sorted before summer nats!

Huge thanks to Diana and Julian at Eurodragster for the photos πŸ“Έ

the santapod hangover has started, and what a weekend racing that was!

Qualifying started off with liam in 22nd place out of 24. however, he managed to pull through and end up 6th in qualifying.

we then moved on through the elimination rounds and got through, with a large amount of luck, to the semi finals where we was knocked out by hulkmx5

i would like to give a massive thanks to Liv who did all of the burnouts and staging this weekend. considering it was her first time she did an amazing job😁

Liam’s first race weekend done and dusted, and it has been an incredible experience to fulfill a childhood dream of ours

Firstly i would like to give a huge thank you to C Signs & Graphics for sign writing the car on such short notice and doing an amazing job of it, it really transformed the car into what it is now and we couldn’t be any happier with it. Also, i’d like to Chrissy Newall at CSN Autos for doing a full four wheel alignment also on such short notice, which helped us send the car down the straight safely.

secondly, i would like to thank the sportsman ET class for being so welcoming to us. What a great weekend it has been in terms of racing! in both qualifying and eliminations there were margins of just tenths of seconds. massive congratulations to Homa Drag Racingfor taking 1st place in the first round of the sportsman ET calendar and Chris Cresswell for taking P1 in qualifying.

apart from a couple of minor issues the car was looking and running incredibly well throughout the weekend and managed to pull us into E2 where we was knocked out by Jago in the skyline.

overall, it was an incredible weekend and puts us in a great place to make some adjustments
and start tuning certain aspects of the car
