I am pleased to say that I will be booking in small repairs in the New Year. I am not yet able to take on larger job, such as services/ overhauls or major reconstruction.

I am afraid that due to health reasons, I will not be taking in any repairs for the foreseeable future. Watch this space though, I will be back as soon as I can.

Lots of pads to replace on this saxophone!

This saxophone came in for a thorough checkover - a few new pads, some pads needing re-seating and a general check for any other problems.

I keep forgetting to add photos to my page. I am still here for all those who are visiting!

I have been giving this lovely Miyazawa flute a checkover today. Here is a picture of the footjoint keywork. At this point I was adding a shim to the low C pad to ensure a good seal with the tone hole.

This clarinet had a bent Eb key and LH little finger keys. These keys often become damaged when twisting the middle joint too far during assembly.

The centre of this cork pad was removed in situ by a sharp edge on the speaker pipe. It came out like a miniature apple core, blocking the pipe and making all the top notes practically impossible!!
