East Worthing Scalextric Club

Several people have contacted Terry S and me regarding the club and what is happening or are we running.

I can't personally come to Worthing on a Wednesday night as my home life has changed in the last 6 months with the birth of our 1st child. Terry also can't commit to running the club week in and week out.

So, at the time the club is closed. But, if anyone is interested in doing something with the club at East Worthing Community Centre please get in contact. We can direct you to the centre that holds the track and it could come back to life.

The centre owns the track and would need to live at this venue. The track is all but working. But it will need some love. The boards might have changed over the last 12 months in storage and the scenic on the track does need doing.

I personally, would try and come and race if it opened again. But, I can't commit to set times/days due to the above.

I want to say, thank you to everyone over the years who has raced at the track. It was an amazing time and I hope if it does come back some of you might return and new people come in and take this to a new level.

Thank you to everyone who attended last night. Macca set a new lap record on the track around 7.4s so the track is getting quick! We are back on Wednesday 16th. See the events page for more information.

Racing is back tomorrow at EWSC, track online for 6:30 and racing from 7pm.

Racing returns next Wednesday at EWSC. Group C core then GT3 for open after.

Just let everyone be aware, as no one has shown up at 18:40 I can't do the boards on my own :( So, no racing this evening.

I will be at Havant slot car show tomorrow selling some old cars. Come along and say hi :)

Over 50 tables now booked for the event, and some still coming in. Looking forward to a great event.

A few of us are at the club track tonight if you wish to come down. We need to sort a bit of wiring. If all goes well tonight. We hope to announce our 1st official practice session shortly.

If you wanted to come down tonight, more than welcome and we might be able to get some cars running.
