Abit of showroom chat.

We’ve been buying loads lately, but now we’re in the process of getting it all ready and bring it up to our standards.
SO - this is what we’ve got. Whatcha fancy?

We’ve bought a Toyota GR86, never driven one. Always wanted to.

Do we like it? I took it to buy lunch to find out!

Also, Karl does not eat fruit, and I do not believe in light mayonnaise

A good day out with friends at the day

I have to declare an interest in this place as a resident commentator but it’s my local motorsport venue, and home to some of the wildest scenes in motorsport.

Any opportunity to tag along and especially drive the course is very special. The record here is 22.37 seconds, I did about a 41 second run in my 205 - I could’ve broken the outright record but couldn’t be arsed on the day. Would’ve felt vulgar.

Aaaaaaanyway, stunning selection of drift machinery and other bits on display. I had to go to lower the average bhp in the paddock.
Drifting has never really been my thing but whenever you see them in person you can’t help but be lured in by the drama. Very impressive.

Big thanks to the lads at .car.giveaways for letting me park my old skip next to their stuff and for the passenger ride in the M3!

All in all, a happy day

If you want to see some mad stuff, turn up this weekend (5/6th June) and be amazed at the speeds. 160mph along here needs to be seen to be believed.

I’ve bought some Meta Glasses. Which means, this sort of thing.

So I took them and my scruffy little 205 to today for the day they had on.

Shelsley Walsh is famous for rewarding high power cars and hurting low power low torque cars. So obviously 85bhp at best was the perfect tool for the job.

Full vid of the day to come, but for now, tell us what you think?

Handover in a pub garden? Why not. 🍺 ☀️

Alec (who is an actual French person) fell in love with the 306 GTi-6 we had for sale, he wanted a fun commuter car and he found it in this thing.

He asked us if we’d meet him half way at a train station, of course we would. It just so happened that station had an appealing looking pub next to it 😂

Enjoy mate!

Just wanted to say how JEALOUS I am of Greg who’s bought our 106 Quiksilver for his first car!!

This is exactly who I wanted to buy this thing. A young enthusiast that was not inspired by anything really modern or run of the mill.

I only wish I could’ve had one for my first car!

Congratulations Greg, safe travels! We’re so happy for you!

Who wants an update on one of the most popular cars we have in preparation here at Driving Heroes? 🇫🇷

The car I’d probably most like to keep!

Well, here it is. And we did have an idea to do a cool like transition thing, but we fu**ed it up and I can’t be arsed to edit it to make us not look incompetent. So there you go, this can be the directors cut.

(It really captures the doom in Karl’s eyes)

BASICALLY, we really need to buy some cars, so if you want that extra £250 or you’ve been thinking about selling something cool or interesting. Get in touch!

Today’s purchase has done just 25000 miles in its time with its one lady owner.

This little VTR was bought new by Maggie (sadly now deceased) who loved the idea of free insurance when it was new.

It spent its life pootling from central London to Oxford, so hasn’t seen too much of the beautiful UK countryside.
So I thought I’d take it for a little tour and make good on my word with the good home I promise to give it.

It’s funny how we can bond with inanimate objects.

Always remember take the long way home.
