⚙️ 2017 Ford Focus 2.0l TDCI ⚙️

This Ford Focus came in with an engine malfunction and engine management warning light on.

Scanning the vehicle with the LAUNCH X431 pro3s+ revealed this was caused by vehicles DPF failing to carry out a regeneration ( parameters not met P246B code) with DPF soot level of 196%!! ❌

Looking at the vehicles live data:

DPF soot % 196%
DPF pressure correct✅
DPF temperature correct ✅
Coolant temperature correct ✅
Ambient temperature reading ✅
Fuel vaporizer priming ✅
Fuel vaporizer injection into the DPF ❌

Removing the fuel vaporizer injector revealed it to be block solid with carbon build up/soot. ( the vaporizer is a key component of the DPF system injecting vaporized fuel to help reach the high temperatures in order to reduce the soot level during a regeneration)

Replaced fuel vaporizer ✅
Carried out DPF regeneration ✅
Oil+filter change ✅
DPF soot % now reading only 6%! ✅

⚙️ MK3 Ford Focus losing coolant and damp interior.

Drivers footwell was soaked with vehicles coolant leaking from the heater matrixes joining pipes behind the dash. ( Commonly seen across the Focus & C/Smax models )

✅Strip down of dash/centre console panels for easier access.
✅Disconnect h after matrix pipes, replaced internal seals and fitted new retaining clips.
✅Dried out carpet and underlay.
✅Refilled/bled coolant system & tested heating system.

✅⚙️ 2016 Mercedes A class 220D Recirculation function not activating.

A full diagnostic scan using the LAUNCH X431 S3PRO+ revealed that the, Air quality sensor located underneath the wiper scuttle had an internal malfunction.

A double check of the vehicles live data reading confirmed the sensor wasn't reading.

Checked wiring, power, earth and signal wires showing the correct reading confirming the sensor to be at fault. ⚙️✅
