I've had 3 main careers throughout my life, but I firmly believe I have found one that compliments both my personality and driving experience of 36+ years. If you want to learn more than just the skill of driving, I will endeavour to provide you with as much knowledge as you wish to learn on your journey to becoming an independent driver in your own right. Your test is just 40 minutes of one day. I look forward to meeting you.

Today didn’t end the way i was expecting it to.

A busy day was scheduled for the diary, starting with a driving test, then a quick return to Worcester for the 2nd lesson, afterwards back to Evesham for a first lesson with a new student and then a quick break before the last lesson of the day at 6pm.

Only the car decided that by 5.30pm it had had enough, and promptly broke down on me on Waterside in Evesham.

I had to reschedule my last lesson, and then a quick call to my good friend Anthony who rescued me with his trailer, recovering the car back to Worcester and the workshop i use (DNA Automotive, Blackpole).

A further couple of calls to tomorrow’s students, and finally i could get to eat and 9.30pm.

After feeding the cats of course.

For the 2nd day in a row, i’ve witnessed a young driver undertaking one of the most stressful experiences they can, with a demonstration of brilliant competence.

Brooke has made stirling progress over the last few months, so much so that we even utilised the latest DVSA guidelines to bring her original test date forward a few weeks.

A first time pass with just 2 faults is a fantastic result, and as her instructor, i’m beyond proud.

The earlier date now means Brooke is able to enjoy the rest of summer as an independent driver in her little Fiat 500.

Drive safe Brooke. It’s well deserved.

Further to last weeks’ post mentioning Freya and her mock test (which she passed), today it was time to have a go at the real thing.

I’m pleased and proud to announce that she’s also passed her driving test at the first attempt and did so in style, amassing just 2 small faults along the way.

Freya started with me as a complete beginner as recently as April, and so to get from novice to test standard in such short time, solely relying on lessons with me (no private between lesson driving), is a great accomplishment.

Drive safe Freya. Your independence is very well deserved.

The latest student to impress their examiner was Gabriel.

A first time pass with just 1 fault is a fantastic result and demonstrates how much effort he’s put in to the lessons he’s had.

Today, many congratulations go to Alina for passing her driving test in my automatic.

She’s only started with me in late May, having taken a test previously with another instructor, which she failed having amassed 14 faults and 1 serious.

Today, with concerted effort her fault tally was just 4. A significant improvement in just a few weeks.
