C Max dropped in as a none runner with suspected BCM failure.

The initial diagnostic scan wouldn’t allow us to communicate with any modules. We decided to carry out a can test which indicated a module was pulling the network down. We decided to access the engine Ecu to unplug it to see if we could then communicate to any other modules. With the engine Ecu unplugged we could communicate with the car. We programmed in a used one we had on the shelf, with this programmed in it would run but not rev. This was due to a slight difference in part numbers. With the cost of the engine Ecu close to £1000 alone we wanted to be sure it would rectify our fault 😅. Being Sermi accredited this meant we could fit and programme the new engine Ecu in house. Replacement fitted and it fired Into life without any issues. 👍🏻👍🏻

We often get people ask what car would you recommend. We now say anything you like the look of as they all have issues. 😂

A Ford Focus isn’t a Ford Focus unless the weather strips are hanging off. It’s a bit like an old
Mondeo with gaffa tape on the bumpers.

This 14 year old focus has been in for a new pair of front door weather strips. Very very tedious job removing the old glue. 😩

Finished off with a new pair of headlights for good measure. It’s nice to see the older ones being looked after. 👌

Third time lucky for this Peugeot Expert 🤦‍♂️

We were called to this last week as a break down, we recovered it back to find a glow Plug fault. After a bit more investigation it turns out it had Infact been to two other garages with no fix.

We carried out an initial diagnostic scan to find it had lost communication to the glow plug relay. Further wiring checks found we had an open circuit between the glow plug connector and the pcm connector. Once we had removed the back off the connector our fault was obvious. Pin refitted we rescanned the van as we still had a fault this now changed to two Separate glow plug faults. We then
Found one glow plug unplugged and one snapped 🤦‍♂️

Repairs carried out and fault rectified 👍🏻👍🏻

We have finally managed to get rid of Nigel…he has decided he is going to retire. 🥲

The job role is for “ front of house “ you will be working along side our lovely Soph dealing with bookings, managing the diary, ordering parts and various other tasks sent your way.

Please Note, previous experience in the motor trade is a must. This isn’t just a normal
Receptionist job, you always have to be one step ahead and think outside of the box.

It’s a very very busy office so you will need to be able to cope with a phone ringing as well as many other tasks.

All in all for the right person this is a very good opportunity to be part of a small but busy family business. When I say family I don’t just mean my wife and children as I include all the staff in that.

The working hours are

Monday - Friday 8:15AM - 5:00 PM

We don’t work weekends, Christmas and bank holidays off.
