About us:
AMF have many years of experience working on both Sprites and Midgets, including full restorations, engine and mechanical works and race preparation. Initially concentrating our work producing Aluminium FIA fastback Sebring Sprites for FIA International and National race cars, following on a natural step from the work Archers garage had undertaken many years earlier producing fibreglass
Sebring replicas. We teamed up with Brian Wheeler (Wheeler Davis) and Colin Sandbell developing the Ali bodies over a number of years, and continue to do so today, building cars to order; see products and services. Our first production bodies were produced on fully restored early Sprite shells built in our own workshop with parts and new panels being sourced from various suppliers, with the help of Brian and Andrew Forster (Archers Garage) over time we started to produce our own panels working with Brian who shared his valuable experience and support with manufacturing the appropriate formers. New body shells are now produced using some of our own panels, along with produced from British Motor Heritage, Head for Healeys and other reputable suppliers. Aims and Philosophy of AMF:
We are a small company with a genuine interest in Austin Healey Sprites and MG Midgets. We specialise in the restoration and maintenance of these early cars as well as the supply of the difficult to obtain panels made exclusively for the early cars. We do not aim to compete with the comprehensive large Sprite/Midget supplies, but simply offer products and services on a personal level to customers who share our interest in the marque. We continue to work in partnership with Brian Wheeler and Andrew Forster sharing experience, ideas and skills with and aim to develop our products and services into the future.
