I learned with Driving Skills Academy in Wellingborough and had manual lessons with Gary. When I started, I felt most nervous about roundabouts. What helped me most was that explained things clearly. The biggest improvement in my driving was confidence. By the end, I passed first time. I'd definitely recommend Driving Skills Academy to nervous learners. I would definitely recommend.

I took manual lessons in Kettering with Adrian at Driving Skills Academy. At the beginning, I was worried about large roundabouts and keeping composure if a mistake was made. Adrian calmly, clearly and patiently guided me through any issues i had and helped develop my skills. The biggest improvement in my driving was confidence and awareness on the road, as well as all maneuvers. I'd recommend Driving Skills Academy to anyone wanting to learn to drive.

I was taught by Dan Baines with lessons in Earls Barton. He was amazing, super calm and good at explaining everything! Every lesson was tailored to what I needed to progress, and at each step he asked how much support I wanted. I passed in Wellingborough on my first try. I definitely recommend Dan as an instructor!

I took manual lessons in Kettering with Adrian at Driving Skills Academy. At the beginning, the thing I worried about most was bay parking and some roundabouts. What helped me most was that adrian made me feel at ease from the very first lesson, all the way through to test day, explaining things clearly to me from the basics through to the harder stuff helping me keep calm. The biggest improvement in my driving was parking and roundabouts. Come test day, I passed first time. I'd definitely recommend Driving Skills Academy to anyone who wants calm and clear teaching from first lesson through to your test day.

Today I was out observing one of our driving instructors during a live lesson in Northampton

Why?

Because we believe ongoing coaching is one of the biggest investments we can make in our instructors and, ultimately, our learners.

For trainee instructors on a PDIs trainee licence, we encourage as much of the required 20 hours of additional training as possible to be completed in the car, working with real learners in real situations.

Nothing beats live experience.

Even after qualifying, regular lesson observations help us share ideas, refine coaching techniques and ensure every learner receives the highest standard of tuition.

Learning doesn’t stop when you qualify. We invest time and effort in our instructors to ensure they maintain the highest standards.

I took manual lessons in NortHampton with Tamas Adrian at Driving Skills Academy. When I started, I felt most nervous about roundabouts. What helped me most was that was calm and explained everything clearly. Also he was patient. The biggest improvement in my driving was independent driving and decision making. By the end, I felt firts time pass. I'd recommend Driving Skills Academy to for evry one who wants to take the final exam first try.

I had manual lessons with Driving Skills Academy in Kettering with Gary. Before starting, I was struggling with confidence in general but mostly at junctions and roundabouts. What helped me most was Gary broke things down for me and remained patient and calm. Things really started to click when as my confidence began to improve, I was able to properly assess my driving and see what I needed to work on. By the end, I passed first time feeling prepared despite the test nerves. I would definitely recommend Driving Skills Academy to anyone wanting a calm, extremely helpful instructor to help them pass first time.
