Today we had this stunning BMW i8 in with us for some cosmetic work on the passenger side, where it had picked up a light scratch and scuff running down the side.

The car had previously been worked on by another company, but unfortunately the finish was nowhere near the standard it should have been, so it was brought to us to put things right.

We started by giving the car a thorough wash and full decontamination, including iron removal and claying. It was clear this hadn’t been done previously, as there was a significant amount of contamination still present on the paintwork.

Once properly prepared, we lightly sanded the affected area using 3000 and 5000 grit, before polishing it using a rotary machine with a wool pad. We then refined the finish with a DA machine and a light polishing pad.

The result? A much cleaner, smoother finish and the side looking the way it should. 👌

This is exactly why it’s important to do your homework before booking your car in with any company. Look at their previous work, check their experience and make sure they can actually demonstrate the standard of work they claim to provide.

There are far too many people calling themselves “professional” or “experienced” when their only real training seems to be watching YouTube videos, with little or no real-world experience.

Your car deserves better — always check who you’re trusting with it. 🔥

Just a few pictures — not the worst areas, but enough to give you a little insight.

We arrived on site to find heavy contamination, including dead flies, mouse droppings and mould.

Definitely not a quick clean — this required a full professional deep clean, sanitisation and disinfection from start to finish.

We got straight to work with ozone treatment and specialist fogging to help tackle bacteria, airborne contaminants and unpleasant odours.

We then thoroughly vacuumed, removed all visible contamination, and cleaned, sanitised and disinfected every affected surface.

A challenging job, but a huge transformation — bringing a heavily contaminated environment back to a clean, fresh and hygienic condition.

A Little Update From Us ❤️

For those who may already be aware, and for those who aren’t, I thought I would take a moment to share a little update and keep everyone in the loop.

Over the past month, I’ve been dealing with a few health issues which have unfortunately meant that I’ve had to take some time away from the business and put things on hold while I concentrate on getting myself back to full strength.

This has meant that Steven has been working on his own and doing his very best to keep everything running, so we really do appreciate your continued patience, understanding and support during this time. ❤️

At the moment, I’m hoping that I’ll be able to return to work in around two weeks’ time — fingers crossed! 🤞 Obviously, this will depend on how things progress, but I’m really looking forward to getting back and being able to get stuck in again.

In the meantime, I am only briefly checking messages, emails and enquiries when I’m able to. Because of this, please bear with us if it takes a little longer than usual to respond. We will get back to everyone as soon as we possibly can.

We’re incredibly grateful for everyone’s patience and understanding while I take this time to recover. Your continued support means a lot to both of us, and we’re looking forward to getting back to our usual routine as soon as possible.

Thank you so much for your continued support, patience and understanding. ❤️

Hopefully, I’ll be back with you all very soon! 🤞

Kind Regards
Lee
