A night that will live forever in the hearts of Wolves supporters. π§‘
Ten years ago today, we lifted the Elite League title after an unforgettable battle with Belle Vue.
It was a meeting that had absolutely everything - incredible racing, drama, tension and an atmosphere that those who were there will never forget.
And there were stories everywhere you looked.
It was the legendary Peter Karlssonβs final meeting in Wolves colours, bringing the curtain down on an incredible chapter with the club in the most fitting way possible β as a champion.
Freddie Lindgren produced a superb performance, while Tai Woffinden delivered when it mattered most, sealing the victory and sparking scenes of celebration.
But that night was about the whole team. Every single rider played their part. Every point mattered.
We were with them every step of the way.
Ten years later, those memories mean even more.
After more than 95 years of speedway at our historic home of Monmore Green - the worldβs oldest speedway track - we were cruelly denied the opportunity to continue racing there.
A track which witnessed generations of Wolves riders, supporters, victories, defeats, championships and unforgettable nights is now covered in grass.
But grass cannot cover the memories.
It cannot erase more than 95 years of history.
And it certainly cannot end the story of Wolverhampton Speedway.
The search for a new home continues. The determination remains. And so does the incredible support of the Wolfpack.
Weβve celebrated championships together. Weβve experienced nights we will never forget. Weβve watched generations of riders proudly wear the Wolf on their race jacket.
We have 95+ years of memories behind us.
Weβre fighting for the opportunity to make many more.
Wolverhampton Speedway deserves a future. π§‘
Once a Wolf, always a Wolf.
