Friday night fun!

We'd like to extend our apologies and gratitude to the people of Glascote, Tamworth - whose night we might of disrupted...ever so slightly! 😂😂

A simple job to recover an accident-damaged vehicle escalated quite quickly, when we arrived to find it inside someone's living room!

Due to the position, and resistance that it'd offer up for our little 3t slidebed - we decided to go straight for the big guns and get one of our 12t MANS to do the honours.

Only slight issue? We'd need to block the incredibly busy road for a while.

That's ok, we can just call the poli....oh, maybe not!

So, we took matters into our own hands and manage the traffic ourselves. And only caused a teenie bit of congestion in the process 😂😂

I'm not a huge fan of doing this, but sometimes needs must!

🚨 WE ARE RECRUITING (STILL)🚨

After one of the biggest, and most pivotal months in our short history, we are continuing to recruit additional staff for specific positions - across the midlands.

We are now open to applications for:

STRATFORD DEPOT:
- Class 2/1 recovery technicians, Experience is desired, but full training is available for the right candidate. (4on, 4off or similar rotations available).

- 7.5t recovery technician (X2), again - experience is preferable and mechanical knowledge and added bonus!

Various shifts, Days/Lates/Nights - working across mid-week and weekend rotations.

- Roadside technician (X1), covering a weekend rotation, you'll attend calls for assistance and provide assistance at the roadside - carrying out wheel changes, diagnostic assessments, wheel changes, lockouts and more.

This would suite a new-comer to the industry or someone moving out of a workshop / garage position.

OUT-BASED POSITIONS:
We are trialing the proposition of out-basing drivers, further afield to serve a key new contract for us. If you are interested in any of the above vacancies, but live slightly out of our usual area - now's your chance to give us a shout!

Interested? Email [email protected] for more.

Most of our fleet have nicknames, some cleaner than others 🐧

The Mistress making light work of this one..

After a decent wait for a road closure - Adam, Stephen and Jack made light work of this BMW that had exited stage left off the A5 at Wall on Monday.

Whilst this was a one man job, any opportunity to share knowledge, get new staff involved in the more complex jobs and using different kit is an opportunity worth taking.

Our thanks to Staffordshire Police for the help with traffic control again. Onto the next!

These birds are getting very creative with their nest designs...

After being ran around the Wrekin, trying to find this broken BMW earlier - after being told it was down a small bridleway in Evesham. We eventually found it several miles north, buried in a bush.

I went first in the 4x4, as the original location(s) would've been inaccessible in a truck - but as it turned out, I wasn't needed.

Left for a truck to fetch, and onto the next.

Sometimes, all you need is a little perspective..

This afternoon, we were asked to recover a fire-damaged vehicle from the site of the recent wildfires in Stourbridge.

It's one thing to see videos and images online, but to walk amongst the debris and damage was quite surreal and staggering.

We were met at the outer cordon by security and police, before being directed to the section of the site we needed.

Driving along a street lined with large, sprawling and extravagant houses on one side, and total and absolute carnage on the other really did bring the gravity and scale of the fires into focus.

Thankfully, the property where our vehicle was had escaped mostly undamaged, but it's grounds and gardens were in total ruins.

We were asked by security to keep photos to an absolute minimum, which we had no issue with - so the one above is about as much as I can share.

It was also incredible to see the vast number of tradespeople and machinery already on site, making sense of the mess and madness

Once we'd squeezed up the twisting drive, and around the rear of the property - Ivan, fresh out of his MOT and service, made light work of recovering the car - before heading to our local storage yard.

Our thoughts go out to all of those affected by the terrible events of last month, and we hope that those affected are able to rebuild and move forward soon.
