Did you know that we have been in business for over 70 years? 👴🏻

Dunstall Park Garage Ltd began trading on the 9th March 1948 and was set up by our Founder Alan Wright.

It was then taken over by his son Christopher Wright in the year 2000, who has been our Company Director since.

Here is an image of the business in 1989, when part of our business was to sell second hand vehicles.

When it comes to vehicles, we know what we are talking about and we have the years of experience to prove it 🚗

⚠️Don’t forget the changes to the Highway Code coming in to place tomorrow ⚠️

Changes coming in from tomorrow (Saturday 29 January) ⚠️

New Highway Code guidance will help people cycling, walking and riding horses even safer.

🚗Part of the guidance includes encouraging people using cars to open their doors with the hand furthest from the door, to help them look over their shoulder behind them for people cycling or walking.

We too have seen our fair share of dirty vehicles coming in for their annual MOT, but this is truly something else! 🤮

Well done to Paisley Autocare for refusing to MOT this vehicle!! 🚫

When we carry out an MOT, we are ensuring that your vehicle is safe and roadworthy.

It is never okay to bring your vehicle for its MOT test in this state 🙅🏻‍♂️

We can spend as long as 45 minutes undertaking an MOT test, so please, all we ask is that you give your vehicle a once over before bringing it in for its test 🧼

When confronted about the mess, the Paisley driver couldn't quite grasp the problem.

🚨Important changes are happening this month with the Highway Code🚨

On January 29th, the hierarchy of road users will be changing, make sure that you are clued up on these changes.

🚲 Cyclists have priority over cars when cars are turning

🚶‍♂️🚶‍♀️ Pedestrians have priority over cars at junctions

🚲 Changes to cyclist positioning to ensure better visibility

It is the responsibility of individual road users to be familiar with the Highway Code.

BRRR...It's a chilly out there ❄️ don't get iced out on these frosty mornings

👇 check out our top tips for deicing your car.

🚘 Check your windscreen wipers - If your windscreen wipers have become frozen to your windscreen glass, you run the risk of damaging the motor or tearing the rubber lining if they are turned on when you start the car.

🔑 Switch on the engine - Get the engine running and turn on the hot air blowers to begin defrosting your windows. If you have heated mirrors, turn them on too.
Turning on the air-con can also help with removing moisture and stopping the car from misting up.
If you find moisture on your windows, use a lint free cloth to wipe away. Don't use your hands as you can end up leaving greasy marks and possibly scratches from jewellery on your windows.

❄️ Use an ice scraper - While the car is warming up, crack out the ice scraper and get scraping!

‼️ IMPORTANT - Don't use hot water on your windscreen as you can run the risk of cracking your windscreen! ‼️

2021 has certainly not been an easy one again, but we have made it through together and are looking forward to a little bit of respite before we do it all over again in 2022.
