💥 When an engine decides to make its own exit! 🔧

This Ford Ranger is in for a complete engine replacement following a catastrophic engine failure.

💥 Number 4 con rod broke through the cylinder block, leaving the engine beyond repair!

🔧 With a job this big, there's no doing things by halves. Cab lifted clear of the chassis to gain full access for the engine replacement.

🚛 A routine PMI that uncovered a serious braking issue! 🔧

This DAF LF came into the workshop for its scheduled Preventative Maintenance Inspection (PMI), where we discovered uneven rear brake wear caused by seized caliper sliders and a faulty brake caliper.

🔧 Faults identified during inspection
🔧 Defective components replaced
🔧 Rear braking system repaired
✅ Brake tested following repairs

This is exactly why regular PMIs are so important! Catching problems early helps prevent costly breakdowns, unexpected downtime and, most importantly, keeps vehicles safe on the road.

This time, we were called out to investigate an emissions system fault on an HGV.

⚠️ Fault traced to a faulty NOx sensor
🔧 NOx sensor replaced
💻 System operation checked following repair

🔧 Famous last words… “It’ll be a quick job!” 🤦‍♂️😂

You're only ever one broken bolt away from a quick job turning into a long job! 🔩💥

What started as a straightforward replacement of the front suspension arms, shock absorber and top mount soon turned into a bit more of a challenge than planned!

Because in this trade, nothing ever goes quite as smoothly as you'd like! 😅

What’s really underneath your horsebox floor? 👀🐴

This one came into the workshop needing some serious attention to the flooring.
Once we started stripping it back, the extent of the deterioration underneath became clear. The old flooring was removed so we could get right back to the structure before rebuilding it properly.

🔧 Old flooring stripped out
🔍 Structure exposed and inspected
🛠️ Damaged material removed
✅ New flooring fitted
🐴 Horse area rebuilt
✨ Rear/groom area flooring renewed

The finished result is a much cleaner, smarter and, most importantly, sound surface for the horses travelling above it.
Horsebox floors aren't something you want to discover a problem with when a horse is already standing on them. If you're unsure what's going on underneath yours, it's worth getting it checked.

During our MOT preparation inspection, the front brakes were identified as requiring attention.
