🧵 Textile threads are often used to make tyres, to form the 'scaffolding' structure for rubber to stick to during production.
🛞 With miles, roundabouts, pot holes and bad roads, the rubber gets worn away exposing threads or cords.
It's time for an immediate replacement, and is an MOT failure.

🚙 We meet customers with various conditions of tyre, however this one goes to top of the list for 'least rubber left'.
🛞 After the tyre blew on a dual carriageway, the driver managed to crawl to a safe place, and gave us a call for help 🚐

🛞 How old are yours? 🤔
🎈 Did you know tyres have their manufacturing date printed on the side wall?
➡️ Usually 4 numbers - the first two are the week number, and the second two numbers are the year in which the tyre was made.
E.g. 1823 was made in the 18th week of 2023. Recommended to change every 5-7 years depending on usage and vehicle weight - we replaced some in 2025 which were made in 2005 🫣
