A mirror check alone may not reveal everything beside your vehicle. Before changing lanes, check your mirrors, use your indicator, and perform a quick shoulder check to confirm the blind spot is clear—especially when motorcycles or other vehicles are nearby.

1. **Know your blind spots** — areas your mirrors cannot fully cover.
2. **Check the center and side mirrors** before changing lanes.
3. **Use your turn indicator** early to communicate your intention.
4. **Perform a shoulder check** by briefly looking toward the blind spot.
5. **Watch carefully for motorcycles and cyclists** beside your vehicle.
6. **Change lanes only when the path is clear.**
7. **Mirror + indicator + shoulder check = safer lane change.**

Are you a careful and considerate driver? 🚗💭

The way we act behind the wheel matters – not just for our own journey, but for everyone sharing the road.

✅ Try to be understanding of other road users if they cause problems. It might be because they’re inexperienced or unfamiliar with the area.

✅ Be patient and remember anyone can make a mistake.

✅ Don’t become agitated or get involved if someone behaves badly on the road. Pull over and calm down before continuing your journey.

✅ If a road user pulls out into your path at a junction, slow down and hold back. Do not drive too close behind to intimidate them.
