1964 Ford Anglia – Historic Motorsport Example with Elite Driver History and Goodwood Eligibility
https://www.milestoneclassics.co.uk/copy-of-r4-b

The Ford Anglia is a small family car produced by Ford UK between 1939 and 1967, remembered today for its distinctive design, spirited character, and thriving legacy in British motorsport. This particular example, first registered on 10 December 1964, is finished in its classic white. With only three previous owners and under the stewardship of its current keeper since 2002, it has been preserved, developed and proudly campaigned within historic motorsport circles.

In December 2011, the car underwent a comprehensive rebuild by Joe Allenby-Byrne of Throbnozzle Engineering, a recognised authority on pre-crossflow Ford engines. The result is a reliable and competition-ready car that remains fully compliant with period regulations. Supporting its competition credentials, the Anglia carries a Motorsport UK Passport valid until 2031 for Sprint and Hill Climb disciplines under Modified Production and Category 1 Stage Rally classifications. An easily fitted silencer accompanies the car, allowing for straightforward transition between track-day and road use.

This Anglia enjoys an enviable Goodwood pedigree. It has been driven around the celebrated Goodwood Motor Circuit on seven occasions for the Goodwood Revival, and it qualifies for this year’s St Mary’s Trophy at the Goodwood Revival—making it an immediate and highly attractive entry for one of the most sought-after historic saloon car races in the world. Furthermore, the car has been driven by several respected and well-known figures, including Peter Barker, Desiré Wilson, and Tiff Needell, placing it firmly among the most storied Anglia's in active historic competition.

Its mechanical specification, prepared by Throbnozzle Engineering, delivers the ideal blend of authenticity, reliability and competitive performance. Combined with its significant event history and exceptional driver associations, this 1964 Ford Anglia stands as an outstanding opportunity for anyone seeking a proven, eligible and expertly prepared entrant for the highest tiers of historic motorsport. Whether destined for further competition, Goodwood participation or stewardship within a distinguished collection, it represents a rare chance to acquire a truly notable example of the iconic 105E.

1972 Volvo 1800ES - Early Production Vehicle/Extensive History
https://www.milestoneclassics.co.uk/copy-of-row-7

The Volvo 1800ES is widely regarded as one of the most distinctive and desirable sporting estates of the 1970s. Designed by Jan Wilsgaard and produced by Volvo between 1971 and 1973, the model combined elegant Scandinavian styling, practicality and reliability in a unique package. Today, the 1800ES enjoys a strong following amongst collectors worldwide, admired for its iconic all-glass tailgate, limited production numbers and enduring design.

First registered in 1972, this exceptional Volvo 1800ES is presented in its original and highly attractive colour combination of Alpine Blue Metallic with a black leather interior. Supplied new by Olaf Olsen Ltd of Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, the car benefits from an impressive and extensively documented history file that accompanies it today, including its original Volvo owner's manual, spare keys, previous V5 documentation, MOT records, service invoices and maintenance receipts.

According to information supplied by Volvo UK, this example is an early production vehicle, being production number 427 (8077), completed on 26th November 1971. It retains engine number 187 and body number 492, further enhancing its appeal to marque enthusiasts. The car is equipped with the desirable four-speed manual gearbox with overdrive, offering the engaging driving experience for which the model is renowned.

The history file tells a fascinating story of the car's life. Following ownership in Sheffield, the vehicle was removed from the road after failing an MOT due to corrosion within the floor pan and subsequently spent many years in storage. Its next custodian recognised the significance of the car and embarked upon what would become an extensive restoration programme spanning from 2012 through to 2024. Beginning with a full acid dip and strip in 2013, the Volvo underwent a comprehensive body and component restoration, accompanied by a high-quality repaint. The restoration has been meticulously documented throughout, with a detailed written account explaining the processes undertaken, the decisions made during the rebuild and the numerous shows and awards achieved along the way. The result is a beautifully presented example that reflects a considerable investment of both time and resources.

In 2023, as the car celebrated its 51st year, it underwent a further programme of refinement, including a complete respray back to its original factory colour scheme, detailed engine bay presentation and replacement chromework. The restoration is supported by an extensive photographic timeline charting the vehicle's transformation from restoration project to award-winning show car. The quality of this Volvo's restoration and presentation was further recognised when it featured as Car of the Month during 2024 on FactsDisc.com, where an extensive article showcases the rebuild in remarkable detail through a vast collection of photographs documenting every stage of the process.

Adding to its provenance, the vehicle participated in the NEC Classic Motor Show in 2023, further demonstrating the standard to which it has been maintained and presented.

The odometer currently displays approximately 4,000 miles. However, during the restoration process the speedometer was reset to zero. Documentation within the history file confirms that the vehicle had recorded approximately 60,000 miles prior to this, indicating a total mileage in the region of 64,000 miles.

A rare opportunity to acquire an early-production Volvo 1800ES with exceptional provenance, extensive restoration records and outstanding presentation. A superb collector's example that combines originality, documented history and show-quality condition.

1977 Vanden Plas 1500 - Russet Brown/7 Owners From New
https://www.milestoneclassics.co.uk/copy-of-r5-b

The The Vanden Plas 1500 is a luxury compact saloon produced by the British Leyland Motor Corporation between 1974 and 1980, representing the marque’s traditional blend of craftsmanship, refinement, and understated prestige. Combining the familiar engineering of the Austin Allegro with the bespoke trim and hand-finished interiors synonymous with Vanden Plas, the model offered a level of comfort and presentation far above its contemporaries in the small car segment.

First registered in September 1977, this particular example, finished in Russet Brown with a Vanden Plas chamois interior, presents a rare opportunity to acquire a remarkably original and cherished survivor from the period. Originally supplied new by Christchurch Street Motors of Somerset, the car was little used from new and meticulously garaged. According to the early MOT certificates, by 1982 it had covered a mere 10, 951 miles from new. Remaining in Somerset, it subsequently passed to its second owner—a friend of the original—who continued the tradition of careful use and regular maintenance.

The accompanying comprehensive history file contains numerous MOT certificates, clearly documenting the car’s steady and minimal mileage progression through the decades. By 1990, the odometer recorded just over 23, 000 miles, and during the following decade, under its third custodian, fewer than 10, 000 miles were added—testament to the car’s gentle life and careful ownership. When the third owner retired from driving, the Vanden Plas saw less than 100 miles per year before being sold to a collector in Cornwall, who stored it within a purpose-built facility and is believed never to have used it on the public road.

In 2014, its fifth owner recorded the mileage at 32, 868 miles, which was confirmed again under the current and sixth owner, who reports a modest increase of just 174 trouble-free miles during their tenure. Throughout its life, the car has evidently been cherished, showing no signs of corrosion or previous welding at the time of its last purchase.

Maintenance has been carried out to ensure continued reliability, including a new steering rack, brake servo, master cylinder, overhauled front calipers, new brake pads, replacement rear wheel cylinders, four new tyres, and a new battery.

Accompanying the car is a wealth of original documentation, including the original Vanden Plas owner’s handbook, period sales brochure, old V5 registration documents, and a collection of old tax discs. The car’s interior features the hallmark walnut dashboard and luxurious Vanden Plas trim, both beautifully preserved. Having been a proud member of the Vanden Plas Owners Club, this example has won numerous competitions and accolades for its condition and authenticity.

Presented today as a beautifully preserved and gently matured example of British motoring elegance, this 1977 Vanden Plas 1500 offers a rare combination of originality, history, and charm. A true credit to its seven careful owners, this car stands as one of the finest surviving examples of its type—an ideal candidate for continued show success or refined classic motoring enjoyment.
