until he broke his starter, he was the oldest one still on the road and also being used as a daily work van , all year round.

Hi all, we now have in genuine track rod ss for Rascals and Super Carry's .

these also fit some other suzuki models

limited numbers available.

Genuine Suzuki track rod end for Rascal/Bambi/Nipper etc. These are often victims of careless towing and end up bent. They can also rust solid whereby they cannot be adjusted. Fit your ball joints onto this new bar, taking care to lubricate the threads so as to avoid future rust welding and you are....

more progress on Elvis the romahome.. fuel system all fitted up front.
the original fuel pump bracket was long gone, so we made a new mounting bracket for it.

the connector for the fuel pump on the loom was also long gone, so we fitted a new one!
the choke cable has been bodged in an interesting way. Suffice as to say we are going to need to change that.
lots of scary wiring and choc blocks that we have no idea, yet what they do, to sort too!
new expansion bottle that doesn't leak and new hose, matches the new radiator nicely.
It will soon be time for a test start up!

once the engine side is complete, then comes bodywork, and after that, resolving the mess the Pod is in and associated electrics.

the heat is making working on things a bit more challenging. However, the bushes we had made have turned up for the gear cables.
all pressed on and fitted!

I find it bizarre the original rear lights for rascal trucks, and consequently, Bambi's and Nipper's were black.
We, of course, have new ones in white at k3c.uk , but we also have some like modern lights, all shiny and focused too 🙂

As anybody who has ever worked on vehicles that were made very close to the start of production will know, these vehicles often are different in many ways to those made later.
Design changes happen due to production, supply, or other reasons , with newer vehicles all made the same, pretty much once all teething issues have been solved.
Example 1:- the gear selector cables on this early truck are somewhat different to the newer builds, meaning they don't fit newer gearbox selectors properly.
to solve this without having to source complete new cables, which is difficult enough, instead we have ordered new custom bushes to fit the old cable and new selectors.

Also, we have now in stock the clutch cable spring. This keeps the cable under tension and helps prevent riding the thrust bearing, with consequent squeaks and wear etc.

We have added new stainless screws with an easier to adjust head type and associated springs for the rascal / super carry / bambi / nipper headlights to the shop!

The original screws tend to rust up and the phillips head gets chewed up. These screws have an allen key head for slip free adjustment.

This is for a set of three stainless hex drive screws and steel springs, for one headlight mounting. Unlike the originals, the screws do not rust and use an allen key drive instead of pozi screwdriver. this enables accurate adjustment without chewing up the head of the screws.
