Extending the warmest of welcomes to our newest recruit, Francisco 👍🏻

Fran is currently studying at The College of West Anglia towards his Level 3 in Motor Vehicle Mechanics, and will be joining us on work experience 1 day a week until he completes his course.

Having had the initiative to pop in, introduce himself and explain he was looking for placement, we were impressed with his attitude and confidence from the get go. So far he has proven himself to be a very mature and hardworking young man!

Although, he did mention something about his Facebook app having cobwebs and preferring Snapchat, at which point we did consider our choices with regards to taking on someone who makes us feel like we were from the 1800s 💀🤣

🚨 The importance of oil and filter changes 🚨

🚨 Even if your vehicle is low mileage! 🚨

This Vauxhall Crossland has only done 36K miles, and yet look at the deterioration on the wet belt.

What are you looking at?

The first pic shows you the amount of debris in the oil strainer, which should be clean and clear of any blockages (think of it like a very fine colander).

The second pic shows us removing the build up to expose the mesh the way it should be. Its obvious in the second pic just how much muck has built up in the system through poor servicing/lack of oil changes.

The third and fourth pics show the deterioration of the wet belt, despite the vehicle having only done 36K miles.

So why does this happen?

Over time oil degrades, which in turn will degrade your wet belt and lead to other problems (such as blockages in your oil strainer). New oil means less degradation!

So please keep up with your oil and filter changes! Otherwise you will be seeing us for a much more extensive repair in the future 😬

We are so excited to officially announce - WE HAVE MOVED !!

But we haven't gone far... only across the yard in fact 🤣

But this little shuffle means we now have a 3-bay workshop, 2 ramps, a private office space and most importantly, a dedicated area for the comfort and enjoyment of our customers - which we are delighted to reveal we have just finished renovating!

We want all of our customers to feel welcome, and understand that sometimes visiting a garage can be a daunting experience - especially for those of you who know little to nothing about cars!

So, we have equipped our waiting area with magazines, free tea and coffee making facilities, as well as dog treats & drinking bowls for your 4-legged friends. We even have a children's play area with toys, games, and colouring books to help keep your little ones occupied if you decide to wait (we all know how tricky that can be 😉).

Aside from all of that, our staff are there to help and advise you on any vehicle needs or concerns you may have. Understanding car stuff isn't easy - we get that. So we want you to know there is no such thing as silly questions or concerns too big or small. Just ask! And we will go out of our way to help if we can. Thats what we are there for!

We hope to see you soon 😊
