Audi Q5 2.0tdi Engine not starting when clutch is depressed! Carried out diagnoses checking the clutch switch which tested okay, carried out wiring check which also tested all good. Found fault to be with the clutch/clutch mechanism excessively worn so recommend new clutch pack including dual mass flywheel. Removed gearbox and various other components which is one hell of a job, especially on the floor! Fitted new clutch/flywheel pack and refitted gearbox replacing the gear oil as well and refitting all removed components. Tested operation once everything was complete and vehicle no starts and performs exactly how it should.

VW, Audi, Seat, Skoda Owners who own vehicles fitted with a DSG Gearbox. If you are experiencing any problems such as missing gears (odd or even), loss of reverse or even loss of all gears completely, flashing (p,r,n,d,s), gearbox in emergency mode/limp mode etc, I can quite possibly help you out with this, all it takes is a Diagnostic check on your vehicle along with visually check of your gearbox and then I can confirm whether the fault is something we can rectify at a much cheaper cost than replacing the gearbox. Skoda Fabia 1.2Tsi was suffering from a noisy engine and was diagnosed as a timing chain issue which is a bit shocking at only 62k! Removed the timing covers and oil sump to get access to the timing chain to find that the chain was very slack, the oil pump chain was also extremely slack! Replaced both chains, guides, sprockets, tensioner and re-assembled. Renewed oil filter and oil and tested, the engine now sounds very quiet and exactly how it should, if it had of been left much longer it would of definitely failed causing excessive damage to the engine.

Range rover L322 3.6tdv8 suffered from turbo failure, both turbos failed together causing the engine to smoke heavily and breakdown. This job I carried out mobile and was one hell of a job, the engine and gearbox had to be lowered to the floor in order just to see the turbos and gain excess, even with the engine removed it required a lot of stripping down to remove the turbos. The Intercooler was partially full of oil but luckily it didn't make into the air intake so had to clean the Intercooler and all turbo pipework thoroughly, the exhaust was also quite full of oil, this was due to the bearings collapsing in both turbos. The turbos I sent off and had them fully rebuilt and was both then refitted along with new manifold gaskets, turbo gaskets and a new oil feed pipe. Once everything was rebuilt the engine and gearbox were refitted along with the subrame, propshaft, exhaust system etc, the engine oil, filter and antifreeze was all renewed and was then ready for testing. As you can see in the photos it was a massive job to do outside in a driveway and I won't be in a rush to do another one!😂
During testing no faults occurred and everthing worked fine, no warning lights and no leaks and most importantly saved the customer thousands.

Ford Kuga 2.0tdci Had a ongoing scraping noise issue coming from the left hand front wheel for several months now, a few different garages have had a look and unfortunately couldn't find the cause of the noise. So after a bit of investigation work I finally found the noise to be coming from the front wheel bearing.
So replaced the wheel bearing, stripped and cleaned the brakes and retested the vehicle, the scraping noise has now finally gone!

BMW 530D Needs New Glow Plugs Due to Poor Cold Starting and Engine Light is Illuminated With Glow Plug Faults Recorded. Inlet Manifold Requires Removal to Access Glow Plugs. Replaced all 6 Glow Plugs and Relay and Refitted Inlet Manifold with New Gaskets, Cleared Fault Codes and Tested, Vehicle now Starts a lot better and Engine Light is now off.

A Good customer of mine unfortunately put the Incorrect fuel In there car, Diesel in a Petrol! Luckily for them they only put in £15 worth in. If this mistake does happen to you and you have realised before you started the engine, please refrain from starting your engine especially if you have put Diesel in a Petrol vehicle. This is a job that I do cover so it's always worth contacting me for a quote if this is unfortunate enough to happen to you.
