Been a little quiet on here recently due to being absolutely snowed under with lots of work! 😁

It’s now been 12 months since leaving ChipAway after my 5 year contract was up.. what a decision that has turned out to be 👌

Another polestar with a large dent to the tailgate! 👎

This time I was asked if I’d travel down south to carry out a repair due to local body shops only wanting to replace the tailgate and then to charge thousands! 😑

3 hour drive followed by a 5.5 hour mobile repair and a 3.5 hour drive home 🍺

Time saved, money saved and another happy customer 😁

Lots of repairs carried out due to a lot of neglect and some awful previous repairs!

• Roof corrosion and blistering

• Both doors with the usual corrosion around the handles

• Both rear quarters with blistering, lacquer peel and poor previous repairs

• Boot lid with the same problems as the quarter panels

• Full polish of the car and back to our happy customer 😎

Finishing off the week with this dented MG rear bumper 👎

Little process into how I repaired this..

• remove light unit and unclip the bumper for access to the back of the dent

• heating up the dent to push out and reshape the plastic

• tight skim of plastic filler to make sure the bumper is shaped correctly

• adhesion promoter followed by uv primer

• mix paint using our Spectro for a correct colour match, then two coats of lacquer

• polish and refit light, bumper and arch trim

Like it never happened 😎

Polestar in for a large repair to its tailgate!

Customer was quoted £2k by Volvo to replace the tailgate 👎

With the vehicle being full electric and not wanting any accidents to happen, instead of the traditional dent puller I completely used glue pulling to push to paint 💪

Repaired in a day and back on road 😎

Finishing off this busy and hot week with this Mercedes

Heavily damaged rear quarter panel and scuffed rear door 👎

Repaired in around 6 hours, washed and ready for collection 👌

Vauxhall Mokka with both doors damaged and front/rear arches and both door mouldings all needing to be repaired too!

After stripping the front door, under the moulding the door was actually bent in and needed straightening from inside the door 👎

Working till 10pm last night to get a heads start and not having to work all day in this heat! 🥵

Subaru Impreza in this week for some well needed TLC!

• Heavily chipped front bumper, removed, stripped, repainted and fresh new stickers 👌

• Rear bumper repair, poor previous repair, removed all filler and products, repaired using the correct products for plastic parts!

• Boot lid, common rust issues, removed wing and badges, repaired and painted

• Washed and ready for collection 😎
