Ford wet belt owners…. Can I have your attention!!

A oil light doesn’t always mean your oil is low, it could mean your oil pick up pipe is blocked by your deteriorated timing belt. 👀

This ecoboost had 9L of oil in, the customer had been topping up and topping up and wondering why the oil light was still on!🫣

Vacuum pump cleaned and re sealed ✅
Pick up pipe cleaned and new strainer ✅
New oil pump belt✅
New wet belt/timing belt✅
Small filter cleaned ✅
Oil filter and correct grade oil ✅
Rockercover gasket ✅
New crank shaft oil seal ✅
New aux belt ✅

The leading problem of failing wet belts is down to lack of servicing and incorrect oil!

We supply and fit the wet belt kits for £650!!😱

Well after a week in sunny Cyprus ☀️ we are back and in full swing 🏌️

Lovely Ford transit custom in for a heath check and two glow plugs.

On inspection we noted…
Oil leak from rockercover gasket
Dip stick tube snapped
Coolant pipe leaking
Coolant cap broken
Eml on for a turbo under boost code (faulty turbo actuator)

All faults so be rectified in the near future✅

Mini Cooper in for low oil pressure 😱

We started with the basics, when was the vehicle last serviced… (i don’t actually know) the customer stated.

Removal of the oil filter shows exactly why it has low oil pressure…. Lack of servicing, we have seen this time and time again people think because it starts and stops every day it’s fine.

2 engine flushes and two oil filters later and 90% of the carbon and oily sludge has gone! 🛠️✅

Your vehicle needs the same amount of attention as a human does.

We strongly recommend servicing your car at a minimum once a year MINIMUM!

Is missing a £100/250 service one a year worth spending ££££ in the long run for an engine?

Don’t regret not looking after your vehicle, you look after it, it will look after you!

Low compression and high oil consumption

Engine stopped shown that the valve had a chunk missing 🫣 but somehow and luckily hadn’t damaged the engine😳

Fresh inlet and exhaust valves
New stem seals
Head skimmed
Timing chain
all new gaskets
And a full service

Unfortunately this Citroen was the victim of poor maintenance, snapped timing belt caused damage to the top end of the engine.

New rockers across each valve
New timing belt
Rocker cover gasket
Oil and filter
Injector seals

for a headgasket and timing chain… customer complaining of the vehicle over heating and running rough. Diagnostic showed the headgasket had failed 🫣

Head pulled off and sent for skimming

Elring gaskets all round
BGA Timing chain kit
BGA Water pump
BGA thermostat
dayco aux belt
Fresh oil and filter

All supplied and fitted for £650

This Vw golf had recently had a clutch done by another local mechanic, and it was left in a sorry state 😒👀

Ball joint with 1 out of 3 bolts holding it in ❌
Both ns and os cv boots split ❌
Wheel bearing close to collapsing ❌
Wheel bolt missing ❌
Abs wire left hanging ❌

Just because you may think your saving £20-£30 doesn’t mean you aren’t gunna spend it in the long run …

All faults fixed and car made safe again
