🏁🔧 Xav’s Golf Build – Major Brake Upgrade! 🔧🏁
Another big step forward on the Xav Golf project – this time we tackled one of the most important aspects of performance: braking power.
The car originally came with standard factory brakes, which simply weren’t designed to handle the extra performance we’re building into this machine. More power is only useful if you’ve got the control to match, so brakes were next on the list.
✅ Upgrade: We’ve swapped the stock setup for a full Golf R brake system – a proven OEM performance option that offers serious improvements in stopping power.
🔥 What’s Changed?
Larger Calipers & Discs – Much bigger than stock, giving far more bite and heat dissipation.
High-Performance Design – Golf R brakes are engineered for both road and track use.
Improved Cooling – Larger discs mean less fade under heavy use.
Sharper Pedal Response – A noticeable difference in feel, giving the driver more confidence to push the car harder.
