Training is a vital step. But it does not make someone competent on its own.
In the offshore industry, this distinction matters. A training course builds knowledge. Competence is about what someone can actually do safely, under real conditions, assessed and verified independently.
Without that verification, there is a gap. And in safety-critical environments, gaps create risk.
MTCS provides independent competence certification for professionals working across ROV, survey, diving, marine, and offshore renewables. Our certification is recognised globally and trusted by operators and contractors worldwide.

One of the biggest challenges in the offshore industry is leadership.

Many people are promoted into supervisory roles because they're technically excellent. And that makes sense on paper. But being a great engineer and being a great leader are two very different things.

Managing people in a safety-critical environment takes a specific set of skills, and those skills can be learned.
