SEPTEMBER… WE’RE BACK 😏🔧

August ended with Team OP a little quieter than usual — two poorly little OPs meant socials took a back seat. Family first. Always. 🧡

The workshop never stopped though… and now the littles are on the mend, we’re back causing trouble on your feed too 😂

New month. Full workshop. Plenty going on behind those doors.

🚨 4+ HOURS FROM HOME. FAMILY TRIP. CAR IN TROUBLE. TURNED AWAY ELSEWHERE…

And then they were told:

“Go to Optimum Performance.” 👀

This is EXACTLY why we bang on about diagnosing a problem rather than just treating the symptom.

This customer was over four hours away from home on a family trip when their vehicle started causing problems.

They'd already had a DPF “fix” carried out back home…

It hadn't fixed a thing.

Another garage couldn't help and pointed them in our direction.

So Boss Man started digging 🔧

First discovery?

The Eolys fluid tank was completely empty.

That alone was creating multiple faults and preventing the vehicle from carrying out the regeneration process properly.

Problem solved?

Not quite.

Because once that was rectified, something still wasn't adding up.

We couldn't get a true pressure reading — either through diagnostics or manually.

So we kept looking.

And there it was. 👀

The DPF pressure hard pipe was completely blocked.

Cleaner was injected into the pipe and carefully heated to clear the blockage and restore the pressure reading.

Only THEN, once the underlying faults had actually been dealt with, could we carry out a full DPF clean properly.

The result?

🔥 Faults resolved.
🔥 Pressure readings restored.
🔥 DPF cleaned correctly.
🔥 Vehicle transformed.

And most importantly…

A family more than four hours from home can get on with their trip and get back on the road with confidence 🧡

This wasn't a case of plugging a machine in, clearing some codes and hoping for the best.

It was:

Find the first problem.
Fix it.
Test again.
Something still isn't right?
Keep digging.
Find the next problem.
Fix THAT.
Then finish the job properly.

Sometimes the fault you can see isn't the fault that's actually causing the problem.

And that's exactly why we don't like throwing parts — or “fixes” — at vehicles and crossing our fingers.

We went a little quiet this week… 👀

And apparently this is what happens when running the actual business gets in the way of telling Facebook we're running the business 😂🔧

The last couple of days have been FULL ON!

Vehicles in. Problems found. Parts off. Tools everywhere. Phones ringing. Coffee going cold. Boss Man doing what Boss Man does… and us barely remembering social media exists.

So while things might have looked a little quiet on here…

Behind the workshop doors, it was anything but

We've been a little missing in action on here for the last couple of days…

Not because there's nothing happening

Quite the opposite 👀

It's been one of those weeks where you look at the clock expecting it to be 10am and somehow it's 5pm, the coffee you made three hours ago is still sitting untouched, the phone hasn't stopped and Boss Man has disappeared somewhere underneath a vehicle 😂

So the socials have had to take a back seat while we've concentrated on the important bit — getting people's vehicles sorted and back on the road

We've got LOADS to show you from this week though…

So consider this your warning 😂

THE VEHICLE PROBLEM SOLVING COMPANY 🧡

A couple of months ago, Gavin trusted us with his van for some pretty major carbon clean-up work.

Then this week… the brake pads decided they'd had enough 😬

He messaged us needing help, we moved things around and managed to find him a space, and two days later his van was back where it belongs — on the road 🔧💪

But the bit that means the most?

He came back to us

Because for us, this isn't about getting a job through the door and never seeing you again. It's about becoming the people you know you can message when your vehicle decides to ruin your week 😂

Another week at OP... and somehow it's Friday already 👀

It's been one of those weeks

Boss Man turned 40 ✔️

Far too much coffee consumed ✔️

Everyone still speaking to each other. Just about. 😂

Behind all the posts, photos and workshop chaos though, there's been a LOT of actual work going on

And that's probably our favourite thing about this page at the moment...

What does a normal day at OP actually look like?

It's never just about fixing vehicles

It's coffee that goes cold because you're halfway through a job

It's tools that somehow disappear when you need them most

It's little helpers popping into the workshop during the school holidays to see what Dad's doing

It's solving one problem... before the next one rolls through the door

It's literally showing a customer what's going on with their vehicle so they understand what's wrong and what needs to be done

That's life here

Busy. Sometimes chaotic. Always worth it.

This weekend reminded us why we love cars...
